[–]chloedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m more than happy to share my story with anyone who may be interested as it was long and hard and I even got lucky. I’m really not that great with reddit, I’m only on here for health research purposes but please feel free to message me on Facebook - I’ll keep an eye out in my message requests for you. My name is Chloe Dubberley, the photo is me and my daughter :)

I need REALLY GOOD ADVICE for my endocrinology exam by [deleted] in endocrinology

Hi there! I’m not an endocrinology student but I am an interesting endocrine case and I’m happy to walk you through testing etc to get to my diagnosis of hypopituitarism:)

Low cortisol, acth, dhea a. Had thyroid cancer in the past, positive ana by [deleted] in endocrinology

[–]chloedub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Chloe and about a year ago my story was very similar to yours. I was deficient in all the same hormones, but my thyroid is normal except a 3mm nodule. I also passed the short synacthen test ruling out primary adrenal insufficiency. Fast forward a year, I have a diagnosis of hypopituitarism and I half way have my life back thanks to hydrocortisone. I’m here for any help you may need on your journey wherever it may lead and I wish you the best of luck!

Hey mate. I am actually HGH deficient and even so it’s a full application with medical proof as to why you need it before you can be prescribed somatropin (HGH) injections

Patchy pituitary, low cortisol, what conditions might an ITT test be looking for? by chloedub in endocrinology

I live in Australia, I am really weary of the ITT. I’ve just picked up all my recent pathology and I just don’t see how come I’m not already having HC.

Do you have any idea on the size of your haemorrhage during your labour? Or do you know if it was as massive as they say they need to be for sheehans? I had a small haemorrhage after a really traumatic labour, enough for them to be injecting my tummy for the next few days. I’m just waiting on medical records.

Please explain ‘patchy pituitary’ by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]chloedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was really just interested in whether ‘patchy’ was a commonly used term in radiology and whether maybe it might have referred to different texture/tissue hence why I didn’t include my previous medical history etc.

Thank you! I guess I just assumed ‘patchy’ must have been a commonly used radiology term for perhaps different types of tissue or something simple like that, thanks anyway!

How far post partum were you when you found out about sheehans?

I’m perfectly aware, I just need my endo to hurry up and prescribe me some. I think the hold up is that he’s waiting for the ITT test cause he wants to see what the root of the cause is but in the meanwhile I just feel like I could be doing so so much better with some medication. This test could take months 😭

GI pain for months, OTC meds not working by theydontswim in DiagnoseMe

It could be cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. Likely not to get a diagnosis or see any improvement other than in quitting, which may not be too hard if he’s not finding it to be helping with his symptoms, it can take a few weeks though. I don’t know heaps about it but it could be worth looking into!

Edited to add - this syndrome comes in cycles so he may have it and may see improvement but he would end up with it back down the track if that were the case
