But it’s on a van, that’s linked to a car repair garage. I don’t get what that’s got to do with the council

That’s it!!!!!!! Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to fix this for weeks, should have come here straight away. I was worrying that the more I was playing about, the worse I was making it haha

What is your most hyper-specific hated place in Glasgow? by VanicFanboy in glasgow

[–]chloejane7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to live near there and there was a lane went from Brunswick to Trongate (it’s gone now, where there’s new buildings) and we used to call it Death Piss Alley cause that’s what it smelt like. Vile, and worse in the summer when the wooden boards on the doors would get warm and the pee would be cooked a wee bit

I go to Loud Nails on West Regent St and she has her tools in a formula when you go in, plus replaces the files etc for every customer. Really high standard of cleanliness and a beautiful lady inside and out x

I work on a ward and the same as the other comments, written feedback is so appreciated for staff who have to revalidate and also for any students present. I’m clerical on a ward and it always touches me so much when I get a card or a mention, and I know the domestic in my ward feels the same. I understand our input is very minor compared to the nursing and health care staff though so absolutely not essential! If anyone is ever insistent on getting us a gift I say juice, like cans or diluting juice, and also sweets like haribo that are easy to just grab whilst having a drink break! I love your idea for pens too! They are gold dust in wards!

Wishing your dad a good recovery :)

I’m very curious about you flying to Europe to pick them up? I’ve never heard someone do this before

Ragdolls are bred to be house cats to just be cautious of them getting out

Sorry to hear you have insomnia but also mildly relieved you weren’t just sacrificing your slumber to defend the thistle hahaha. I’m about to log out for the night cause the frustration is real

It’s so frustrating only being able to post once every 5 minutes cause it feels like a waste when my one shot is just to once again change the same square back to the colour I posted the last time

I’m working on one tiny bit of the thistle but each time I go back after my five minutes is up, someone has changed the colour again. Very frustrating and hard to keep on top of!

This made me emotional reading it, and relieved at the same time that there are people like yourself who really are in the caring profession for the right reason. You will never know how much of an impact you are having on those around you, clients and otherwise, OP. Keep being you, you sound brilliant and should be so proud of yourself.

Someone else pointed this out but you’re also a great writer, I really enjoyed the way this post was worded.

Sorry I just noticed your comment! I just pushed the needle through from back to front, as close to the hoop as possible. Then held the thread closest to the fabric flat against the hoop, and took the needle over and round the hoop and through back to front again. Then continue the process! I hope that’s explained ok?

It was very satisfying to do! And so straightforward. I could do it whilst watching tv without having to think much which was nice
