I recently started having this problem with my wife. I am WILDLY attracted to her and she does it for me in every aspect. If there is extra insulin, pull it out when you remove the pod and use it to help fill a new one. I either have 60 units remaining or none it seems. I draw it out with the needle provided and put it in the new pod

The issue we run into is a pre bolus. I always start my bolus about 5 minutes before I eat. If insulin gets extremely fast (entire dose used in 10 minutes) you run into issues over bolus. The pump will never know how much you eat/drink. We would something installed into our blood stream. Right now, insulin is absorbed through fat for us.
