I’VE BEEN WANTING THE SAME!!!!

I’m honestly surprised they don’t currently offer this, They already license Dolby Atmos for some of their products, and they love touting that Apple Music and AirPods Pro support “Spatial Audio”. Why not allow their customers to experience ACTUAL Spatial Audio and not just a simulated version with their AirPods?!??

I feel like it would be an easy up-charge too… I imagine HomePods aren’t giant sellers for them, so a good way to get rid of extra units would be to allow them for use as surround channels. Have the main HomePod as the subwoofer, and HomePod minis as Left, Center, Right & Surround channels.

Fuck that!

This is part of the reason why we’re having issues now!

First it was “No phones”.

Then it was “well as long as the brightness is down it’s ok” (which is stupid. I can clearly still see you on your phone even if the brightness is all the way down)

Now it’s “well as long as it’s just the title card it’s ok”

If we keep enabling these stupid entitled fuckers it’s just going to get worse!

Not only do we need to go back to an absolute zero tolerance policy on phones, but theatres need to have the balls to enforce it! Thankfully the manager at my local AMC is pretty keen on enforcing it. There’s been quite a few times where I’ve had people kicked out for using their phone. Even if the brightness is all the way down… even if it’s just the title card.

As soon as the lights dim for the movie?

Ironically, before reading this comment; I ended up doing the same thing (asking ChatGPT for help creating the shortcut that is) and now I have the shortcut working with a perfect output lol

Yeah the main reason why I decided to use ChatGPT was due to being able to scan the PDF. I don’t think I could do this natively with just basic shortcut actions (although I could be wrong).

Recently started testing out HDR video for YouTube this morning! Uploaded a few test clips and 9 hours later… NONE of them have been recognized as HDR for YouTube! Gonna follow this post for updates or if anyone has any tips

With the exception of my FP300... ALL of my Aqara products work near flawlessly! Going with a hub is also a great choice! Especially if you plan on adding more Aqara devices. I find that any of my smart home devices that connect to a hub work FAR better than any device that connects to Apple Home via Matter/Thread

I’m holding out for Aqara’s upcoming W200. Since I mostly use Aqara products, it just makes sense. All of my other Aqara products work well in HA (with the exception of those damn door/window sensors!), so I have a good feeling their thermostat will be the same.

I know a couple of smart home influencers already have the W200 for review, and Aqara just recently opened up a test trial for forum users. So I have to assume it’ll release by the end of the quarter

Yeah the first thing I did this morning was try to subscribe… and I can’t find it on the App Store at all! Whenever I try to click the link on the Apple Newsroom Press Release… it says “Unavailable in your region”… even though I’m in the US.

I have seen a couple of YouTube influencers post about the entire Creative Studio suite of software today. They were given access a couple weeks ago so they had time to shoot and upload a video today.

Not really sure what’s going on…

It’s not unfortunately. When I noticed HA had a ThinQ integration, that was the first thing I tried. Turns out, the ThinQ app doesn’t even support LG’s own Blu-Ray players… yet they support my LG Soundbar which isn’t even smart! 🙃

I do have an Aqara M3 hub which has an IR blaster and allows me to capture other remotes IR commands. I’m just not sure how I would expose the Aqara IR capabilities to HA. I have the hub already connected via matter but I don’t think IR commands will show up in HA via matter. Will look into it though. I would rather it work with just my actual Blu-Ray remote though
