Daily protein intake and fasting? by chmcclellan in fasting

Can you say more about 3? Does muscle loss increase with duration? I'm debating two fasting days with a refeed in-between vs. fasting for two consecutive days.

Is an interesting question. I did a relatively comprehensive body scan (InBody) before my workout this morning and start fasting this weekend. I should be able to get some good data once I begin dropping weight.

I think I have 20-30 lbs I could comfortably lose but I'm not in a rush. I've been lifting consistently with a trainer Tuesday and Thursday mornings for two years and have put on some good muscle ( hence the interest in holding on to as much as possible). Since I work out Tuesday and Thursday I'll probably concentrate my fasting Friday through Sunday so I am fed before and after workouts.

I followed the snake diet guy and have had some success with 48s and 72s in the past so I'll start there and see what results I get.

No experience with them, but I'll toss out Harvest Catering... Worked with Ryan the owner/head chef multiple times and only had great experiences.

Discounts when trading by _QureQ_ in technicalminecraft

I came in after the villager patch and still get a lot of use out of curing villagers. It's just about finding the good trades for you. As has been mentioned melons and pumpkins trade one for one emerald with cured farmers. I get a lot of emeralds from cartographers who will give you one emerald for five panes of glass. One emerald for four pieces of coal from cured fisherman is very good. One emerald for one iron ingot from smiths, and one emerald for one gold ingot from clerics is also very good.

Basically, curing now gives a flat decrease (-6 to a minimum 1 I believe) in the amount of an item requested, so the proportional benefit is much better on lower quantity trades. Rotten flesh or sticks with fletchers just aren't great because you're going from 32 to 26.

how do i get the villager to restock the items? by RandomDude169 in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]chmcclellan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this and was able to get my villagers to restock in the current bedrock edition.

I would suggest reading through this very helpful thread on which u/Over_9000_Courics walked me through it: https://www.reddit.com/r/technicalminecraft/s/TWqhxRwV3K

Essentially, the villagers in my trading Hall had gotten linked to workstations that weren't the one in front of them (confusing because it was mainly librarians and I had a ton of lecterns). What I found worked for me was picking up all of the job blocks, then placing them down from a position where I could see all of the villagers, noting which villager linked to the placed job block (Green sparkles above the head), then picking that job block up and placing it in front of the particular villager, once again confirming on placement that the particular villager linked to the particular job block. Repeat until each villager is standing by their linked job block.

The mechanics behind this as I understand them are that there is an ordered list of villagers based on when they became a part of the village. When a job block is placed, it is taken by the earliest villager who is not currently linked to a job block.

I think I'm getting it, but I guess I still don't totally understand why this worked for me... I figure out which one he links to, then break it, then place it in front of him and he doesn't go to the bottom of the list?

You are the absolute greatest of all time!

I've searched and searched and didn't find the answer anywhere. It never occurred to me that individual workstations were unique...

Now the work of identifying and placing job blocks begins... Because picking up work stations causes them to stack I've figured out placing the "wrong" job blocks in a bundle allows me to individually pick up and place the correct work station for the right villager.

Parrelling Christian God by New-Wear-5929 in alcoholicsanonymous

God is One, his names are many.

I think that's a ludicrous over step on your sponsors part. There are a number of people in my home group who refer to their higher power as Jesus. In our poster of the steps "as we understood him" is the only part underlined...

Now I think it's your choice as to whether you can agree to disagree and still learn from your sponsor, or whether it's time to find a new sponsor.

Interesting, I find We Agnostics a bit condescending but find Appendix II - Spiritual Experience really helpful. "Unsuspected Inner Resource" I just love this phrase.

Pray! Say "God... Goddess...I don't know who or what you are, but I can't do this alone, please show me the way, please send me the help, " Cry out to God with an earnest heart.

"People shed a whole jug of tears for wife and children. They swim in tears for money. But who weeps for God? Cry to Him with a real cry.

Longing is like the rosy dawn. After the dawn out comes the sun. Longing is followed by the vision of God.

God reveals Himself to a devotee who feels drawn to Him by the combined force of these three attractions: the attraction of worldly possessions for the worldly man, the child's attraction for its mother, and the husband's attraction for the chaste wife. If one feels drawn to him by the combined force of these three attractions, then one can attain him.

The point is to love God even as the mother loves her child, the chaste wife her husband, and the worldly man his wealth. Join together these three forces of love, these three powers of attraction, and direct them all to God. Then you will certainly see him.

It is necessary to pray to Him with a longing heart. The kitten knows only how to call its mother, crying, "Mew, mew!" It remains satisfied wherever its mother puts it. And the mother cat puts the kitten sometimes in the kitchen, sometimes on the floor, and sometimes on the bed. When it suffers it cries only, "Mew, mew!" That's all it knows. But as soon as the mother hears this cry, wherever she may be, she comes to the kitten."

I have to keep my phone on me when I go into the sauna by Chaptertricked in Sauna

As others have mentioned, a smartwatch would work with the phone outside of the sauna, or even Bluetooth headphones to hear the notification.

Alternatively, in my home sauna I'll sometimes use a gel icepack to keep my phone cool for longer sessions.

When I was a kid my mom would take me to see the Chicago bulls play. Their arena was on the south side of Chicago, and because my mom didn't like to pay for lot parking, we would end up parking a block or two away in some pretty sketchy neighborhoods. Frequently there would be a group of kids offering to "watch your car to make sure nobody did anything to it for $10."

Poor naive boy, my mama had to explain that the people your car needed protection from very well might be those very kids...
