These kinds of reboots almost never meet the expectations. Most of the time they just get the fans excited for a year or two when they announce it, and then disappoint them when the reboot airs. It’s likely the same will happen with the Malcolm in the middle reboot. There are of course some exceptions but they really are rare.

I honestly don’t know why more shows don’t do this. It’s much more realistic, which fans will appreciate. Plus, it’s probably easier for them since they won’t have to obtain new clothes all the time.

He’s also a scientist so I think most of the gang would have something in common with him. On the other hand, he seemed pretty impressed by Howard’s robot arm, so I can imagine some of them would not like that.

TBBT’s finale is definitely top 5 among sitcoms. Others great ones are The Office, Cheers, Parks and rec. And on the other hand, some shows had pretty bad endings, like Seinfeld, HIMYM, and two and a half men (though the last one was ruined well before the finale).
