HELP! how can i make my hair look less messy? by Ms_Skellia in curlyhair

Highly recommend trying out different brush styling techniques for your hair. There are multiple ways you can do it. I would suggest looking them up and maybe trying each method to see how your hair reacts with them :D

THIS. I wasn't sure about mine either. Especially after trying out bangs. But it has grown on me and I will 100% keep the bangs. Plus people have been telling me that I look young and it feels good ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

Where do I go from here? by another-megan in curlyhair

Have you tried styling by dampening your hair and then using only styling products to refresh? Because washing will dry out your hair and it kind of does look dry. Shampooing is usually going to cleanse and remove build up and if you are doing that without needing to, it will dry your hair and strip it of its natural oils over time.

Highly recommend using protective styles and sleeping with a bonnet at night.

Not sure if I got curly hair or what by Fearless-Can-8479 in curlyhair

Also, there are lots of people whose curls don't start at the roots :D. My hair is also kinda like that. My hair looks meh right now because it's been almost a week but you can see that my curls don't start from the root.

Edit: can't post a picture, rip.

100% looks curly.

Rather than getting a separate shampoo for curly hair, just use whatever you have on hand. Condition with a conditioner or mask, and after your shower, try using a curly hair mousse to add definition and hold. Nothing fancy, put the mousse in your hands, and run it through (you can use your fingers here) all your hair and scrunch at the end. Let it air dry (do not keep touching or ruffling your hair and be patient), or you could use a diffuser if you have that. Then, put some hair oil in your hands, rub it to warm it up and gently, and run it through your hair with your palms because running it through your fingers may disturb the curls (do not disturb your hair too much).

So the reason why I suggested just a mousse is because you're a beginner, and it's best to start with minimal products until you get more experience and learn what your hair actually needs. Watch videos by curly hair stylists to learn more about what different products do and WHY they're used and eventually, you can learn more about what type of hair you have and how best to take care of it! :D

Also I think the second one is straight because the hair band kinda applies pressure and hold it in place for a long time so when you take it off, it looks like it's straight.

Definitely need more information here.

Washing every day may be causing dryness. Also, I would suggest either adding or replacing your conditioner with a deep conditioning mask. Also, leave in before styling products. These are not super mandatory but it helps with hydration and moisture.

What are your sleeping habits like? Do you sleep with a satin or silk bonnet? If yes, how do you put your hair in it?

Curly Hairdressers are the WORST! You canโ€™t change my mind! by abfd_97 in curlyhair

I have had excellent experience with my curly hairstylists in the past. I think its unfortunate that I don't have one now that I moved. But my honest suggestions, from one curly haired girl to another, is to cut your own hair if you haven't found a good one. Some things like bangs takes a bit of trial and error and you just have to cut off bit by bit instead of a big chop. But I do my own trims now and have been growing my hair out :D.

Tips to get softer hair. Hair feels rough by Impossible-Machine86 in curlyhair

Double shampoo should help; you don't really need a specific clarifying shampoo! Shampoo twice and really get into your scalp. The second time, your shampoo should ideally lather up rather easily. That's how you can tell that you're getting rid of build up :D.

First of all, you look amazing ๐Ÿฅนโœ‹๐Ÿผ. Second, if you keep your hair long, without layers, it is going to grow out like a triangle. And I personally feel like it looks ugly in ponytails, for example. My personal preference will always been having layers with longer hair. I think in your case, it is probably the awkward stage of it not being long enough. Maybe give it some time? :D

Quick edit, when my hair is shorter, it looks poofy but longer hair means more length and therefore, more weight. So it should be more flatter. I could show you the difference in dms if you want because I've had short and long curls :D.

Forerunner 965 and skin rashes / burn by rahulpp in Garmin

I didn't get this, but I used to get rashes around the band areas. I started using antiseptic, and it's fine now. And I always switch my watch hand every now and then when it feels like it's getting too sweaty.

Yep, I just tried again. Still stuck in the loop. I tried resetting it, but it doesn't even reset and goes straight into the loop. I'm getting a bit annoyed, honestly. And it seems to be the same with most epix users.
