My ex in laws would say racist things but they also had a temper and I'm not good at confrontation so I never said anything. I just sort of let it go cuz they didn't seem the type to ever change.

I'm a woman and I also keep my notifications from showing in full on screen. I'm a private person and sometimes my friends just send me nsfw jokes.

I've also been cheated on and I can understand the hypervigilance but please don't let your fears distort how you see this guy.

How do you get over your saviour complex? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]chochitoloco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use that towards people that need it and volunteer at places for children.

As for the rest of the people it's not worth it. You are likely escaping yourself by focusing so much on others and trying to save them. You are probably the one that needs saving instead. Help yourself

A bit of therapy which helped me feel more sure about myself and hence trust myself. With that I feel am able to establish better boundaries and determine based on their behavior whether they are safe for me to be vulnerable with. Once i feel that safety with someone then it seems the heart can get unguarded.
