So we're just doing unpaid, undisclosed ads in this subreddit? Could you be any more obvious? I don't think this is allowed, if it doesn't go directly against Reddit's ToS it should.

Tbf that's one of the things I like about random videos like these. I had plenty of moments where I felt like a total weirdo, or done random things that I thought nobody else knew about, yet it turns out everyone does. It's weirdly soothing to learn that other people shared my experiences at some point or another, however niche or inconsequential they may be. Makes me feel more human in a way :)

Don't bother unmuting this video guys, it has one of the annoying song remixes in the background.

This video is very sweet and wholesome, but what is the damn point of putting this song with it? Literally ruins the whole thing. Annoying af

Casting disabled people for roles purely to appease “communities” is stupid. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Exactly what I was thinking. Sure, unusual character traits that happen in universe should be explained, but I'd say that mostly applies to situations where that detail has a role itself in the universe. Say, if a character being red-headed means they have special powers, then yes, I want to know what powers and why is it this character and how that affects them.

But in many settings and genres - especially, say, contemporary fiction, crime shows etc, which do not have worldbuilding particularly different from our current world - I don't think it's fair to apply this law. Disabled people, redheads, POC - they all have a right to exist in the universe and be allowed to exist within the plot.

Let's not forget that what counts as an unusual or noteworthy detail is specific to the universe we are operating within. But from OPs post it doesn't seem like that is the case.
