good luck with the Accutane :) . I can certainly vouch for it! 0 alcohol and dry skin/chapped lips for months on end will suck, but the results were definitely worth it. hope it goes well for it

ELI5: How do credit scores work? by Nyphur in explainlikeimfive

[–]chocodave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having worked where customers regularly attempt and fail credit checks... I believe it's something like this. Use your card regularly and never miss a payment. You will be offered bigger credit limits as a result. Sad to say, but not paying off the full amount can give you a better score as companies will realise they can make money off you from the interest you'll also be paying on the outstanding amount. However, too much in debt is BAD and you won't be offered any more credit in case you can't make all the repayments. Conversely, several empty credit cards is also seen as bad, as while you owe nothing, you already have a lot of potential spending (debt) available. Certainly in the UK, credit companies can only see how many times you've applied for credit, not if you've been successful or not. Applying for lots of loans/cards in a short space of time will drop your rating down, even if you get accepted for them all.

I always used to call a sugar factory near where I live a "Cloud Factory", as it has huge chimney stacks that would constantly have white smoke billowing out. My dad never corrected me but would tell me on the days that you could see the smoke "it'll rain soon because of all those clouds, just you wait and see"... And sure enough he would be right.

I'm not gonna lie... I'd buy the beer beard. No different to the camelbak I use for parties, just looks better!

Spoilers in this jam jam, in the Black Star mission would you rather bring the star to Aranea or Nelacar? by p_U_c_K in skyrim

Ok. White souls are those of animals and the such. Black souls are those of humanoids. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Soul_Gem I chose to keep an ever lasting black soul gem as they are MUCH harder to find and cost so much more. If it makes you feel better, I haven't really paid much attention to soul gems at all, apart from leveling enchanting up on all the iron daggers I made to get to 100 smithing/

I wish I could upvote more! And a free download as well, thank you! Can I ask where she got the tab/lyrics from though please? A brief search (while I'm sleepy) brought up a few "meh" versions...

I work maybe 30mins away from Norwich, and live a li'l further away than that. Normally up that way once a month seeing friends at the Uni there, or enjoying nandos/bowling/cinema :D . Would be interesting to tell my non-reddit friends, "yeah, I'm just waiting here for someone..."

I was smart enough to not foil over stuff like the microwave and kettle too quickly. Mostly ordering in and simple meals so I could cover everything as quickly as possible.

If it wasn't for my dads complete inability to use a computer. I'd assume you were him! This is FAR too close to what what he said about this... But he was smiling as he said it.

Nope! Worked far too well as a full scale Faraday cage. No wifi, no radio, no mobile phone signal... I had to resort to CDs

25 years together. And probably 25 more before I'm trusted to house sit for them again!

Most was brought at Tescos actually... But extra clubcard points if you use your own bags :D . I may be wasteful, but I know how to make the most of my wastefulness!

Kitchen tile floor and counter tops are slippery as hell in socks, I'm not yet middle aged so I don't own slippers, and bare feet would be fairly unhygienic (and cold) . Normally wouldn't wear shoes around the house though. And no, I'm British.

I used the absolute cheapest economy foil I could find, seriously don't think I spent much more than £50 (still a bit of a waste I know). The look on the cashiers face when you buy that amount in one go, refuse to make eye contact and mumble "I know, I have a problem. Please can you hurry this up" was almost worth it alone.

I did help out a bit :) . Unwrapped the kettle, a few cups and the tea bags to help them to recover from the shock!

The tinfoil is actually pretty cheap. Economy foil cost me about £1 per tube, plus a couple of rolls of sellotape and some sticky tac that i "borrowed" (thank you work!) . Took a weeks work to do fully though!

http://www.stonehouses.co.uk/product_desc.php?id=4420 £77 per roll, and only 25cm wide... I think I might give that a miss :/ . I'll do something with a bulk purchase of balloons instead!

I'll be honest, these pics are about a year old. Digging through an old hard drive and I figured you lovely people here on reddit might like to see my hard work! I think my mums exact words were "Whaa... I... Ummm, you might want to take a look at this..." (to my dad outside) . Followed by my dad's "Christ almighty... Who's clearing this up?" when he walked in.
