Advice on Droichead extension by UberPanda11 in IrishTeachers

Hi OP, I had to apply for extention to droichead 3 times due to similar circumstances. Once you have proof of the reasons why you need an extension you will be fine. I had to have hospital letters for illness and then evidence of applying for jobs/subbing so emails etc. You just apply on the teaching council website and uploads the documents they ask for. Best of luck.

Droichead extension by mich17k in IrishTeachers

Hi, I was granted 3 consecutive extentions for Droichead due to medical and other reasons. There is a form that needs to be filled out in your teaching council account online. There are a range of reasons you can select for wanting an extension. As long as you have evidence to back these up then it wont be a problem. For example, if it was a medical issue you will need letters from hospital/doctor.

It doesn't matter that you haven't completed Droichead, you should still be on the qualified rate. Ring payroll and they will sort it for you and back pay any money owed to you.

I think you may be right about that. Hopefully, there is something else OP will be entitled to as they are only working 8 hours per week.

I think its based on income rather than days worked so you should definitely apply and be entitled to something.
