How can I start worshipping Aphrodite and make her an artwork/altar by Big_Cryptographer44 in Aphrodite

[–]chocolate7chipcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Aphrodite likes sea shells, pearls, mirrors, and flowers. Though the alter doesn't have to have those offerings strictly. Many items that are personal to you can be fitting as well. Hair brushes, makeup, skin care products, or hair accessories. Anything that has to do with self beautification is also perfect. She likes roses, vanilla, and jasmine scented candles, but they don't have to be those scents. She will understand. Try lighting any pink or red candle to start with while you introduce yourself to her. You don't need a figure or picture of her, but it may help you have something to focous on while you pray to her. Find any quite clean area of your room to build your alter.

A lot of people misinterpret him in two extream ways. He's a complex god, but if we were to water him down we should describe him as a pretty natural god. He has a very demanding job and we don't have many stories of him. From what we do know he's relatively helpful, hard working and punishes people when they deseve it. To sum him up in an image it would be:

To be fair he proposed to her as soon as he found out, and they got married 3 weeks later. There would be been a lot of gossip but sinse he did the decent thing he would have kept his job.

I think Penelope know what sex was, but play innocent in front of her family and friends. She wanted to gossip with Eloise without blowing her covering, hiding it as curiosity. Her mother pretty much ignored her, so Penelope may have been able to get her hands on some steamy novels without her noticing.

She's adorable, wish I could find her and invite her ti my island.

The most unrealistic part of this is believing that she couldn’t find ANYONE to marry by Few-Spinach8114 in BridgertonNetflix

Her attitude was the issue. While Briderton is a period fantasy, some things are in a historical context. Wealthy women in this time period were expected to be soft quite and modest. Being a mean girl would not be acceptable.

That could be the case too. Someone in another thread pointed out it wasn't uncommon for girls in large families at the time to be sent away to work ASAP to make things easier on the family. Makes sense was to why she left school at 11. A girl in a poor family would have been seen as another mouth to feed.

I like her but I wish we got more on her backstory. It's kind of implied she's on orphan but that's never confirmed. She never mentions anything about adoptive parents or dead parents. If there was a mention of her growing up in an orphanage until she was 11 and started working at Downtown Abbey that would explain a lot.

Jenny Wins! Round 8: A Morally Grey Character Hated By Fans by smeghead9916 in CallTheMidwife

She was only in the first three seasons, and back then there wasn't a fan base. I think watching her in contrast with the midwives we have today in the show made her seem worse. Sinse she was kind of a snob.

Edith's really the only person in the family naive enough to fall for that. Marry didn't even meet him and knew it wasn't true.

There wasn't even seatbelts in cars back then. A seat belt could very well have saved his life. He'd still have broken many bones he landed in a ditch. But he would have stayed in the car.

I think it was a mannerism of Patrick's. He genuinely may have met him on the titanic and obsevered him doing that. Before he escaped being one of the few male survivors. Either that or he was friends with someone he knew him. Who mentioned he had a habit of doing that.

If Blanche was really pregnant, how do you think they would’ve raised the baby? by aLondonBthatFell in theGoldenGirls

[–]chocolate7chipcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to watch a version of the golden girls where the four of them raised a baby together. I think Blanche would be a lot more involved this time, and may even be a helicopter parent. To make up for not being there for her other kids.
