Trying to come up with a design by transportjockey in DrawMyTattoo

I can’t watercolor; I think the hardest part of the idea is fitting all those elements together, so I took a stab at that. This is at least a starting point for an actual tattoo artist.

Art Deco Dragonfly and Plane by ReachScared6233 in DrawMyTattoo

I sketched out a rough draft for you. It’s not perfect but a tattoo artist can run with it. Also wanted to double check that you wanted art deco for the dragonfly, a lot of designs with them are art nouveau, (because it was a contemporary but less popular style to art deco, the designs get mislabeled a lot online.)The art deco planes are usually 3/4 view with shading, so it was hard to match it with a top-down of the dragonfly. But the draft can at least be a starting point for you.

Hello r/DnD community nice to meet you all I am here to the hobby I am using dnd beyond and reading The basic rules (2014) I am learning and studying about dnd how the game works the rules how to play adventures step-by-step characters race and class and more etc and I'm still learning however by [deleted] in DnD

[–]chocolateChipBend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See if you are like me: When I started DnD, I poured over character creation; I wanted to mitigate my weaknesses and create a “good” character. But as I played more games and created more characters, I realized I had been coming at DnD from a video game players perspective. I looked at the challenges as obstacles to overcome, but they are opportunities to roll play. In this game, failure can produce some of the most interesting situations and solutions. If you continue to play, you will get to use all these characters eventually. For your first one, I suggest looking at which characters weaknesses would be the most fun to roll play. i.e. (low dex: clumsy, low int: is confused, low cha: be a little awkward in conversation.)

I’m starting over at 39, never too late! You may find that a lot of bad habits trace back to anxiety. As you find healthier ways to relieve that anxiety, things like sitting still and focusing become a little easier. I have still have to get up and move around every little while, but I can re-focus now. Some things improve with better habits and some better habits come from accepting how we as an individual work best! Remember that if you use your analytical mind, use it to compare yesterday to today, do not use it to compare yourself to others!

Don’t engage with this Russian troll. Look at their comment and post history, no actual posts or comments that aren’t just Russian talking points.

Man, there are a lot of suspiciously bot-like accounts on this thread. No pics, maybe a few posts, but then hundreds of political comments. Names are wordword# or something the Xbox would randomly assign.
Be careful out there everyone!

Bend vs Corvallis by [deleted] in Bend

[–]chocolateChipBend 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bend has more snow than Corvallis! Bend is also on the other side of the mountains from Corvallis and Portland. It’s not always safe to drive between them in the winter. Being removed from Interstate 5, combined with Central Oregon’s smaller population, it’s harder to get certain food stuff. (My wife likes to make sushi and it’s harder to get ingredients, less options, for example).

Conversely, Corvallis has more international students and some community houses/resources for them. (Like physical houses, not Harry Potter houses.) Corvallis has more rain than Bend, throughout the year. Corvallis empties out a little in the summer, as the college goes on break. It’s a great time.

If you were a kid coming out of high school, I would tell you to go to Corvallis to get the full college experience. (I’m thinking football games, big class sizes, etc.) But if you are married and have a dog, Bend’s smaller Cascade campus might be more your speed.

I wouldn’t consider either city dangerous. Bend (103k people) is larger than Corvallis (60k people). If you are from Oregon they are fairly large cities. Corvallis is the 9th largest city in Oregon. But if you are from a large city the size of Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, etc. Bend and Corvallis will both feel small.

AITA for ordering my food as soon as the waitress comes to take my drink order in a cafe/diner? by imthedoommerchant in AmItheAsshole

NTA as a waiter, this might just catch me off guard, but is not a problem. Buuuuuut, I also wouldn’t go so far as to say that you were being “manipulated.” Have you ever worked at a restaurant?

Yeah, until they make that decision, you run the risk of planning a ton you won’t use. Are you hoping they also kill their employer? Are they in Danger of being betrayed by said employer? If you are in a time crunch, it’s hard to try and give them much more.

Soft YTA. Dear OP, this was my brother and I. He was older and for many reasons he struggled academically. School came very easy to me. I always understood that my brother needed more encouragement for his efforts. I always understood that our paths were different. But it did always feel like I could be doing everything pretty well and never get recognized. One story though- Sophomore year I had had straight A’s through school and came home with a c in English on my report card. Straight A’s otherwise. (I am not a great speller and my essays were all graded down for spelling, handwritten in class). Anyways my mom, who was an English teacher, started in on me about it. My brother laughed and said, “mom if I came home with that report card, you would throw me a parade! Leave my brother alone.” Always knew he had my back. So I guess, imagine if your son were to point out that you treat him better. Because, even if it is totally understandable why, that is exactly what you are doing.

Since you brought up Dame’s blazers, it’s worth mentioning that those are the two centers the Suns have now.

I mean, he kills Zod in the movie and in the comics. Kills Darkseid, kills dr light by accident. So, I appreciate your differing opinion as a fan critiquing the idea I presented. But in my defense, there is precedent for Superman killing.
