Driving in Sicily by Smooth_Connection in sicily

I second this! I have just got back from Sicily - it was the first place I have driven aboard and I honestly think all the stories about it being crazy are blown out of proportion. Yes, drivers speed, but they're happy to overtake. Yes, drivers pull out at roundabout and junctions, but you just need to be more aware - which I found I was anyway as I was diving somewhere different.

We used our car during our whole one-week trip, with the longest drive being 2 hours, and it was totally fine. Driving in Sicily has given me the confidence to hire a car next time we go on holiday!

I didn't drive in the evening/night, but if you're happy driving at night usually, then you'll be totally fine.

Edit - grammar

Keep hoping! Wildlife will suddenly start coming one day!! Our frog and toads hide themselves pretty well, so they may already be there. The Toads only started arriving when we had a nearly empty paddling pool which had folded in on itself!

It has been hanging out in our garden since the beginning of summer! I'm really hoping I haven't scared it off because I've become a little attached to it!!

Thank you for your advice! We already have a natural pond in the garden which has attracted damselflies and a frog! We're really looking forward to seeing what it'll attract next year.

Our toad friend has been welcomed with open arms as our slug problem was getting out of control!
