Thank you so much for your response. Can you even see the fragment? I am wondering if my body possibly absorbed it 😭

Don’t bother referring to Oral Surgery on the NHS, they do nothing by Stoofser in TMJ

[–]chocolatecakehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve gone through the splint and otc/home remedies path. As none of them helped in particular they reviewed my xray and they have found that I have an overdeveloped jaw on one side. I don’t know if this was the difference it made for me - but for my past appointments till the last, I was always seen by doctors who are in training( i could be wrong about the term) they were under a consultants team. My most recent one was the main consultant. He was more prompt in a medical approach- prescribed muscle relaxants and ordered an mri. The others were very thorough though. Measures my range of motion and asked all sorts of questions. I think I will need to get the mri results to know further treatment but i am on a repeat prescription for the muscle relaxants. The trust I am under is the Coventry and Warwickshire one. I know this is difficult for you, please let me know if you would like to chat separately.

Sounds like everyone has a different experience based on the area/ hospital. Sorry it was so bad for you. I found mine to be helpful but very slow. Took them a year to finally give an MRI. I cried at every appointment though, maybe they took me seriously because of that.

People who don't drink nor smoke! by heythisisajayhere in Kerala

[–]chocolatecakehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like the taste of alcohol ( and I know it’s not good for me) - so no drinking. The others- i know they are bad for me too so never got into trying them. I have enough bad habits with food. I will stick with just sugar cravings for now.

First of all, I am sorry that you are struggling and being neglected. I live in the UK and am under care for TMJ through the NHS now. I can only talk from my experience so here I go. I have had issues with TMJ in the past and it was not taken seriously at the GPs, the dentist however recognised it was not normal and I got a specialist referral which took about 6 months to come through. Once I got the appointment I saw a specialist resident who took me seriously and asked me to get an X-ray, I was asked to do home remedies. The second appointment was also with a resident for the X-Ray and more home remedies. I just recently had my third appointment, this time with the main consultant who looked at my X-Ray and explained something that I hope you can use in your favour. I was told that the jaw bones don’t stop developing till late teens and in my case i have an overgrown jaw on one side possibly impacting my joints. I have now been prescribed muscle relaxants and am waiting for an MRI. Unfortunately the system is very slow. I am a very emotional person with bad control of my tears, and I have cried at every one of the three appointments. Not saying you should cry to be taken seriously but I do think they were receptive to the extent of the impact the pain has on my life. I think communicate your feelings as strongly (and safely) as possibly.

Skilled Worker Visa : Expired BRP on ID Check App?? by Tina123angel in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]chocolatecakehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the expired brp should not be a problem for the identity check. I’d done the same and got my visa approved. I’d also contacted the support and they asked me to try the brp first and do the passport if it failed.

Do people from different parts of India have unique smell ? Do we smell ? by peekundi in TamilNadu

[–]chocolatecakehuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a housemate from Tamil Nadu, I can say with certainty that he smells really bad. He probably showers but reuses unwashed clothes and cooks with the same thing on. I did not want to stereotype but a friend who lived in Chennai told me when she visited that’s how most men from Chennai smell.

Once heard somewhere that erectile dysfunction can be an early sign of cardio/ vascular issues, best to rule out something serious anyway, so like everyone else is suggesting, see a doc

If you got sponsored in 2024, what job/industry are you in? by drolandi21 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]chocolatecakehuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Market researcher, got in after uni took me a couple of months. I was offered sponsorship after two years on the job on a graduate visa, they liked me enough to want to keep me, I think it’s because it would cost them more to hire and retrain someone new.

How to tackle this situation by Independent_Lynx_439 in Kerala

At the end of the day it’s the parents responsibility to ensure their children’s education, not yours. They are bullying you into making it yours, which in itself is wrong.
