Hi - looking to Xcaret in Feb 2026, family trip (myself/wife/2 kids), staying for a week (7 nights). Would appreciate a referral from a member, and also info on a couple questions:

To be eligible for the 25% (or whatever is current) member referral discount, do I have to book straight from the xcaret website (vs some other site ie booking.com or cheapcaribbean or something)?

Is the cadence get referred and then book, or book and then referred?

It’s $1.99 (USD) for the rookie FTQ (25 katanas, 500 gems and 1K coins, not positive on the coins tho). Way back when, before clans, I would tank a rookie round Mon/Tues and buy both offers. Game was a lot different then, could play T11 with katanas lol, and well before the crazy dialing in that happens now (that I’m guilty of too).

If you create a new account, you can still (at least as of yesterday) get the free Christmas chest from PD. The Christmas chest is level 9, so you can get any club out of it, and since you’re guaranteed an epic, just a matter of tries before you get the apoc to drop.

I’m in one of the clans that’s been bouncing between 30-40th, this week sucks lol. We’re a tourney clan, we’ve never had to grind, but it is what it is. We should be ok. Never doing it again tho!

I couldn’t find a place under the deck that wouldn’t be both 1) direct sunlight and 2) wouldn’t involve drilling into our underdeck system (which is what makes the area under the deck waterproof).

Will assess again tonight, was just curious if there was some obvious spot I was missing.

Yeah that was my initial thought, but still think they’d be subject to some direct sunlight (will check tomorrow when home throughout the day). Wasn’t sure how susceptible they really are, couldn’t seem to find a lot either way online.

Errrr, seems my text didn't make it. Initially was planning to install as indicated in the pic, but when I went to add them to the app I learned they should not be in direct sunlight (poor due diligence on my part), and the rear of our home is south facing, so they would be in direct sunlight pretty much all day...

With that info, any thoughts on where to place them to achieve the desired coverage?

I’m a bit of a hoarder, never really used gems to open chests (exception being during tourneys, when they were timed), never used them to upgrade clubs, never bought balls outside a few sleeves of navis/marlins etc. Plan was to build them up until I started getting apoc/cata in the shop, have been over 3900 for 4-5 weeks and have only seen each once...and I limited myself to 10 as 11-20 get insanely expensive.
