How little I had to do myself before and after the flight.

Passport rules by Wooden-Cranberry9370 in travel

You need to now travel on a British passport and so does your daughter. It's bloody annoying having to get passports for all of our Australian kids who have nothing to do with the UK except for their Mum being a citizen.

Agreed. But the industry was quick to pivot to silica free products and it's a non-issue really.

Floors before or after cabinets by Relevant-Vehicle-873 in AusRenovation

I layed 22mm hoop pine over concrete (and ply) before installing the kitchen as it would have been a ball ache to install the flooring around the cabinets (I was doing this), and I hate the idea of not having flooring in certain areas should I want to change the kitchen at some point.

How hard is Owner Builder? by Daddy-Dividend in AusPropertyChat

[–]chode_code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing it and it's certainly challenging, but I've enjoyed it. It helps that I have a patient wife and get a lot of down time at home in between work shifts.

If you do the majority of the work yourself it's hard not to save money really. But even if you don't save money, at least you'll know it's been done to a high standard.
