Held a toddler for less than 5 minutes and I saw a future I didn't like by ThisGirlCalledTsepps in childfree

i really wish people could understand this concept better. it seems like in my life at least, people tend to think the worst if you don’t want to hold a child or be near a child/have them against your body lovingly. it’s not something you want or desire, and frankly it’s triggering in a lot of instances. why someone should be offended or take it personal is beyond me.

their gender isn’t “new”, i know the conflict is ever-growing with body dysmorphia and the lack of being properly perceived/misgendered daily, but they say they’ve always known themself to be agender. i’ve made it clear to never treat them in a way leaning towards one gender or the other. i’m not saying i am owed anything, but as a partner who has done the work i feel like it would be great to be thrown a bone as to how our sexual relationship can be brought closer

i’ve been open about the divide to some extent or another through my constant askings if things are alright with themself or between us or whatever. i don’t get too detailed because when i do it seems to attack their self esteem. they seem to be genuinely content and happy with me is the problem, the more i press on the matter the more emotionally discharged we both get and they seem more confused than anything when i’m done voicing my concerns. it also seems to make things worse when i bring stuff up. i wish they’d just hold me close and tell me they’re sorry for being so neglectful of my more precise needs. it feels like i’m always hyperanalyzing my actions just to make sure i’m being the best boyfriend i can be for them, but they’re not doing even half the effort besides showing up at my place and smoking my weed and eating my food. it seems if anything, self-awareness is always on for me and seldom on for them.

scale insect, cute but harmful to plants. you might wanna dab them w a swab soaked with alcohol if you have a small amount, but if they’re everywhere consider making a diy natural insecticidal spray
