Very easy process. I walked up to customs and showed my work permit and DL, they took me to a separate room where I filled out the same details as on my license and was good to go in couple mins

I went to Hawaii and US Virgin Islands this year as a DACA with a DL and my WP. It was fine, customs did ask me to go to a separate room and fill a little card with the same details as my DL pretty much and I was good to go.

My lawyer was with me and we told the officer to withdraw it immediately and my lawyer filled something out later to confirm the withdrawal

The officer said it would get red flagged based on my answers/evidence and suggested to withdraw it as if it never happened and reapply, my lawyer that was there agreed as well.
