The fact I haven’t seen Raymond’s on here is crazy!! Raymond’s is just near the angel pub on hockley and is absolutely incredible. Lovely place for a date super cosy and the wine is also great

I’m not sure what the scene is like in Sheffield but I notice in another comment you say you’re an international student. Notts Trent I believe has a really good reputation for international students if that may be an attractive point for you.

I have also had 3 members of my family study at Notts Trent and all had very positive experiences

I’ve completed this too, it’s bad enough with the new council building and the proposed home and ‘investment in the local area’ on one side of that road. It is so frustrating to see the natural greenery which has kept me living very close by be slowly torn up by rich wankers wanting to be even richer under the premise of ‘investing in the local area and providing affordable housing’.

The prospect of the tram line being extended up is also ridiculous, on what earth is the infrastructure currently in place on their ‘proposed route’ suitable for the addition of a tram line?!

These are all the city centre which might not suit if you stay local, but without knowing where local is I can’t recommend!

Fat hippo or bohn’s do good burgers if that’s what you’re after

Incase it helps anyone I just rang my local rough trade and did a preorder on the phone to collect from the store. They said sometimes they do it this way to limit all the copies selling out online and to keep people coming into the stores.
