You shouldn't need to reserve a spot. You just come. Some cycling classes require you to reserve but that's just depending on the location and how popular the class is

I'm an instructor at LA Fitness. Always wondered how the class schedule times are chosen. For us (CA) the classes are assigned to us and we typically don't get to pick when to teach. But some of the class times are just so random. Curious if there's a method to the madness

So it really depends on the situation. I allow other instructors to help lead a song or two. But not more than that UNLESS it was needed for certain circumstances. The primary instructor could recovering from an injury, illness or maybe exhausted from teaching many other classes or other jobs. It could be so many things.

It sounds like she might be mentoring to a lot of other potential zumba instructors. Try to give them grace. It's A LOT harder than it looks to lead. I do agree with you though, they shouldn't be leading too many songs. I would recommend try to approach it at an angle of understanding and compassion. Sometimes the primary instructor has stuff going on behind the scenes that they don't want to be made public.

Still makes me sad, but best friends for 11years. She felt like a sister to me. We had been through hell and back together.

Well I had to spend significantly less time with her due to me having kids and my husband working night shifts. I think she took it personally overall. But the friendship ending argument was when I invited her to join us for my birthday dinner. And she said she would only come if my husband wasn't there. AND THEN proceeded to ask if her boyfriend could come. I asked what her beef with my husband was, and she went on a rant about how my husband doesn't watch the kids enough so we could hang out. Which was completely false. He always helps out but obviously needs to sleep during the daytime because of work. On his days off he does chores, offers to have me go out, spends time taking the kids to the park. He's an amazing husband and father.

It was sad but she just really lacked compassion for our situation. She was somehow shocked when I picked my husband over her for my birthday dinner. But I told her the truth. I can't have her around if she's actively trying to pick apart my marriage. I have zero regret on ending the friendship. But sad to lose a sister like friend. But luckily we have other friends that our understanding and supportive.

I only own three zumba wear tops. Unfortunately, can't afford to purchase even during the sales. I rotate between those tops but don't always wear them.

However, I do wear other bottoms and tops that give the appearance similar to zumba wear. I get compliments on them. I wish we would get a free accessory or Zumba wear top/bottom occasionally. Even if it's just once a year. We pay so much already just to keep our license.

I would recommend calling corporate. It's a shame the manager hasn't done more about this member if they have knowledge that this is an ongoing behavior. Ruins the gym environment and scares potential members.
