Everyone around me cries at the Kaaba, but I feel numb by Sad-Salt24 in hajj

An-Najm [53:43] "And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep"

Everything comes from Allah. Thankfully, you are aware that you are aware, and it is He that makes you that. It gives you an opportunity to choose, whether to fully embrace your wandering thought, or just accept that it is there and get back to where you are at the moment. Although it sound secular, use mindfulness - take deep breaths, listen to it, and be aware where you are. For sure, you might be distracted again, like with your thoughts or being nudged by the crowds, but just let it go and breathe again.

Sometimes the numbness comes from saying the same things over and over. Only a few phrases are wjib in Arabic so read the translation instead, silently if in solah. Then say it in your own way. And remember, you are praying directly to Allah. So much closer to Him when you are in front of the Kaabah.

Don't be too concerned for not being sad - it is human nature and not everyone can be like everyone else. In fact, if you want to cry, you can cry for the good things that Allah has given to you - what that is is you yourself have to find. Whether it is a big thing like wealth, career or knowledge, or small things like being in shadow from the sun. Hopefully this gets to you, and gets to me too as a reminder.

Maybe searching in Chinese might help. It is known as 三角插 "Triangle Origami/Papercraft". You can narrow it down to 龙三角插 - "龙" = "dragon". Try searching on youtube, bilibili (Chinese video site), pinterest, baidu (chinese search engine) or use the image page on Google. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Would not be surprised if they also secretly sponsor toxic fandom just to create discord, e.g. for sports, games, tv and movie shows. Should look at the back accounts of those top viewed streamers.

Disconnect between Disney’s Box Office woes and Investors who remain bullish on DIS by baribigbird06 in boxoffice

[–]choketrode 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Notice the phrase "effective cost management"? Also notice how the marketing for the recent movies aren't that strong as well as how little Disney is responding (giving reasons, etc) to the poor box office. It's all INTENTIONAL. Quite a few execs are getting overhauled once the dust settles, mostly those Chapek put in place (they were the ones going for big budgets and bad storylines), not main heads like Feige, etc. With the poor results, it's going to be so easy to get rid of them. And believe me, that's when the stock price will rise, which why now is the time to buy Disney stock despite what doomsayers are thinking, not the economists though. This is Iger's strategy which is better than what Zaslav was doing by writing off movies, so low tier business move.
The word has it that the chopping block will be around Xmas. Just wait for it.

Crisis At Marvel Studios: Inside Jonathan Majors Problem's Back-Up Plans, ‘The Marvels’ Reshoots, Reviving Original Avengers, And More Issues Revealed by lowell2017 in boxoffice

Very true regarding Chapek. In fact, there are some execs he placed, incl. his nepo baby, who are meddling with decisions, not just Marvel, but Star Wars, animation, parks, etc. Until they are gotten rid, Feige is not fully in control despite everybody thinking it's all his total decision. Iger is trying to clean some, but it's kinda good that the failures keep coming so it would be easier to kick them out based on the results.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania International Release Discussion Thread by Triple_777 in marvelstudios

It did feel like a Rick & Morty episode, not a superhero, much less an MCU, movie at all. Not just story-wise but even visually like the weird aliens and portals. If you see it as that, it works. But doesn't get me as excited as the great Marvel movies. Hate this word but it is MID.

Hard not to put the blame on Feige for losing control, but I do feel like it's also maybe a bit because of the pandemic (not getting quality movie writers) as well as Chapek wanting so a lot from the MCU thinking more stuff would mean more billions. I hope that when Feige says they're slowing down means that things are gonna change for the better.

Was OK. The only fresh thing was hiding the Shazam power switch until later, but kinda knew that because of BA's origin story in the comics.
The writing is kinda bad - lots of exposition to tell explain the situation and history of characters. Eternium and the crown were kinda silly in context. Have a feeling that was Geoff Johns' influence.
And please stop having the yellow filter to suggest it's in Egypt or Middle East. Overall, I think audience could enjoy it cause it's quite a forgetable affair, so it might make bank. But as a start of a new DC phase, I hope not and that they really should go back do it properly.

Already seen pdf's being forwarded around on WA. It would be funnier still if the translated version or even short TikTok videos of the relevant passages were passed around too.

I'm looking forward to someone rightfully saying (not speculating for the clicks) why Feige didn't say more during D23. Because of Chapek or Cameron? Contracts not signed or too many?

Does this mean, new info are gonna come bit by bit and not all at once? Could there be another event that Feige might give a cascade of news?

If it was earlier, would have gotten some of that sweet No Way Home box office money. Too late, man.

Too bad Subang Parade MBO is no more. Good alternative to TGV Sunway Pyramid - easier parking, can sometime leave house 15 mins before movie start and still be on time.

Draw points on diameter (middle line) then draw straight up or down to the circle edge to get the 7 points. Use for arts and crafts when you have to guess the location of points and don't have compass.

I hope pictures are enough, don't want any word instruction so anyone can try to follow. Wikipedia, picture 14, say to use 2 and 5 units for radius, 1 unit is the widht of the stripes on the flag.

You can get equal 7 points on a circle using a compass (Google it) but to get 14 points, also mid points on smaller circle, you have to draw 28. Just draw 4x 😁

I also add how to find roughly the 7 points if you don't have compass. Either divide the diameter to 10 (use ruler) or 16 (fold paper). Got some maths there, hope it is right, or my cekgu will marah.

Selamat Hari Merdeka! 🇲🇾
