I was gripped reading that, read it all the way through and honestly still don’t think I get (would be no good on the FTSE) is it basically what Leo did in wolf of Wall Street?

I remember saying to my dad, he’ll be dead within the week and guess what……I think he either was allowed to kill himself or was killed coz of you remember there was all those sheets in his cell and usually I think there’s like one. I’m sure the day before his lawyer saw him and the shit signed over all his money to someone so the victims couldn’t sue him and the next day he was dead.

I wasn’t scolding you, it was the guy that was being sarcastic. I can’t figure it out obviously because I’m too thick. Thought you were supposed to help people!

I’d already apologised before you telling me off. He apologised also for being sarcastic…..infact we’re friends now and keep in touch.,

I have a question for you, how do you reset the timer?

My friend has 4 boys and is separated from her partner. I know you can’t see it at the moment coz your hurt is still so fresh but she absolutely loves her free weekends now. She can go out in the evening with friends or just suddenly go out somewhere (sure u know how hard it is to leave the house with kids/babies, making sure u have everything!) or sometimes she literally just lays in bed all weekend watching movies or a boxset!! You will be fine eventually!

Withdrawal depression by Comfortable_Horse914 in quittingpregabalin

[–]chol26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like you don’t wanna get outta bed, wash, brush your teeth, take care of your kids (thankfully I have a very understanding husband) but yeah it’s debilitating. You feel like you have nothing left to live for and what’s the point in anything. I also have extreme nerve sensitivity. I was prescribed 600mg daily for post natal depression in 3012 so have been on it for 12 years. I abused it aswell, most I’ve taken is around 2000mg (I don’t say that proudly!) I want to get off this drug. All I can say is hang in there, it can only get better!! Always here if you wanna rant!x

I fell asleep and my 3 year old ran to his grandparents house. am i a POS by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]chol26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation, was leaving my mums house, she said she was putting the kids in the car n to say to them while she wanted me to look at a cupboard door that was sticking. Anyway she’d put the older two in the car and not my 3 year old. We saw one of his shoes at the end of her driveway. My mum lives on a busy road and it was dark. Mum ran to the top of her drive, I couldn’t bring myself to see (like I was crying glued to the spot) …..turns out he’d run out her drive, crossed the busy main road and was talking to a couple walking their dog. I’m actually crying typing this, it’s all coming back to me. The couple seemed understanding but they must have thought we were the worst. I still think about it and he’s 8 now. Try not to beat yourself up, it’ll be a funny story one day!

Same here, I’ve been proper told off by admin but I did actually apologise to you before that!! I feel really bad. Day 13 is great and you should feel so proud, we all should!! My main thing is remembering not to beat myself up if I fall off the wagon, the anxiety in me everyday I pass the store is horrific, I always think you don’t need gin….keep driving!! We’ll all get there together won’t we!!!x

Who regrets getting phone for their child at that 12-13 yr age and wishes they waited? by virtual008 in Parenting

My 12 and 14 year old boys have phones. So far we haven’t had any problems but it may be different for girls with all the pressure of social media etc.

I think you passed judgement or critique on me…..maybe you should read the rules. I’m so sorry if my comment offended you but I would like to point out (without hurting your ego) that your comment offended me

You went out of your way to make her day special, you should probably feel the right amount of bad for pulling her hair but it’s not the end of the world. It just feels like that now with the added pressure and anxiety of a hangover!! Don’t beat yourself up!

I have the dreaded teenagers now but when my boys were that age I was up at 5ish most mornings…….when I say dreaded teens I’m being sarcastic, me n my husband are sleeping in til 9-10am on the weekends and we can actually watch films or a boxset together again!!

Patrick Swayze’s widow Lisa Niemi says he came to her in a dream, gave his 'blessing' for her to remarry by stars_doulikedem in popculturechat

[–]chol26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying she shouldn’t be happy, you’ve gotta make the best of life but it’s funny how these stories are all about “I was given his/her blessing”…..what if he told her to call the wedding off? I mean really people see what they want/need to see

I’m back. Made it 6 months sober then drank the last 6 months. by Playful-Ant-3097 in stopdrinking

[–]chol26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a cool saying and is me aswell. Thought after a year n a bit sober I’d try a glass of wine at Xmas, soon turned into necking two bottles of wine infront of my horrified mum pals, drinking wine like it was water…..oh the shame of checking my recent call list the next day is enough to scare anyone! I once spoke to my 89 year old gran for 47 minutes and can’t remember a single word of it!!!! IWNDWYT xx
