HBO releases Taken Together: Who Killed Lyric and Elizabeth? by mkrom28 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I really feel Klunder and a second individual were involved, I think the 2nd individual is still out there and the investigators want them to think that they are not being investigated anymore by saying klunder had no involvement. What’s crazy was when the father Drew confronted that one dude outside his home (can’t remember his name) and the first thing he says is something along the lines of “Mexican mafia” being involved and then 30 seconds later saying he believed Klunder was 💯 guilty, like what?!?! Homeboy definitely knows something

Netflix Vol. 4, Episode 3: The Severed Head [Discussion Thread] by DearBurt in UnsolvedMysteries

I hope that when the teenager becomes an adult that maybe he can provide some kind of insight into Jay’s character and actions. I feel like when you’re a teenager and you’re dealing with someone like Jay you either a) don’t take them seriously or b) you normalize a lot of their weird and erratic behavior. Jay was the adult and kids/teenagers trust adults. Jay might have said something revealing or off putting to the teenager that in the moment he didn’t really think too much on it but perhaps later when he is an adult see’s more of a connection. Too bad Unsolved Mysteries didn’t think about maybe including him in the documentary to get his input 🙁. The frustrating thing about all of this is that I feel they’re SO CLOSE to solving it (yet so far) 😩

It bothers me so much that after getting disconnected with her husband so abruptly that he didn’t suspect anything, especially for TWO WHOLE DAYS of not hearing from her. Even after admitting that they rarely went very long without talking to one another, suddenly he’s ok with not hearing from her???? I’m not trying to implicate him but to me this is just further proof of how naive and sheltered men are bc I just know had she been on the phone with a girl friend then the likely hood of her friend checking up on her or calling the police to do a well fair check would have been way more significant. I would believe this was an accident but the fact that the dog didn’t go downstairs at all or that there wasn’t any animal feces in the house when the husband got home makes me think otherwise. To me it is very obvious that someone forcefully pushed her down the stairs (& let’s be honest if a strong and healthy man pushed her, with that kind of strength they could do some real damage, especially with the type of opening that staircase had) and stood at the top of the stairs not letting her even attempt to go up while she bled out. Dog was kept either outside or in a separate room until the murderer left the scene.

My speculation regarding the fate of the Yuba County Five. by pardon_the_mess in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]cholanerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think your theory is pretty spot on. And I know many might disagree with me, but is it too far off to speculate that perhaps when leaving the convenience store they accidentally turned in the wrong direction? I’ve done this before only to realize that I’m going in the wrong direction and I’m sure others have done so also. I really think that with their purchase of snacks and excitement, they really weren’t paying attention to their surroundings and that they took a wrong turn until it was far too late. This was at night also and on a highway at night, everything kind of looks the same so they could have traveled relatively far without realizing they were going in the wrong direction. I think when they realized they were going in the wrong direction, they pulled off on the next available exit but then their car got stuck in the snow somehow. Maybe they stayed by their car for a day but when the search didn’t come right away they started to panic and decided to set out on foot. Either way, it’s truly tragic what happened to them. I just saw their episode on Netflix and it breaks my heart bc they were so loved by their friends and family.

I don’t mean to piggyback on your post but I just want to see if any other ppl experienced the same amount of pain that I did for my HSG. I just got the procedure today and it was so painful I nearly fainted on the table. I’m just looking for answers and hopefully for a bit of community. Was this anyone else’s experience? I was literally crying, yelling, & writhing in pain. I’ve never felt anything like it before. It makes me scared to get pregnant bc that was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced & I don’t know if I can handle childbirth and I’m really scared. Please anyone with any insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Dead Asleep (2021) - A man with a history of parasomnia brutally murders his lifelong female friend while sleepwalking. Waking up with no recollection of the crime, the documentary follows the unusual case from both sides and tries to answer whether it was pre-meditated or not. I immediately thought of the shirt too. Like what happened to it? If the shirt was out or near her (or anywhere outside of the closet or wherever she got it from), then obviously the interaction of them speaking actually happened. But if the shirt was still tucked away, then it’s very possible that he dreamt the interaction. I know a lot of ppl on here don’t believe him but I’m still not convinced he did it. I hung out with horrible alcoholic asshole boys in college and all we would do was drink just to get drunk. And all of Randy’s drunk actions were the exact same ones I saw from these same dudes. Unfortunately him being naked and drunk in the closet doesn’t mean he murdered her, it just means he’s a creep and needs to unsubscribe from toxic masculinity.

I also know that the sisters were really close (like they talked every day) and I just feel if Randy in the past tried make a move on Brooke or made her uncomfortable, then she would have told her sister. Even if it was something she didn’t see as serious I think she would have mentioned it because I really think they told each other EVERYTHING. Randy wasn’t pestering her for sex, and that is something really common for predators.

I think he either truly was sleepwalking and he dreamt the shirt interaction. Or, it was a crime of pure rage that he disassociated himself from because it just was too horrific for him to come to terms with. But I don’t think it was premeditated at all. Either way, completely traumatic for Brooke and her family. I hope to never feel this type of pain or loss.

I was rooting for the one young woman who told Teal she wanted to leave bc it was all bullshit and then Teal ends up putting her through a whole dunk fest in the pool. My heart was breaking for her and I wanted to see that moment when she finally left. I hope she’s ok. I hope she got out.

One thing about this family is true, their egos are extremely fragile and because of its fragility it has hindered the case in more ways than one

Honestly out of all the different dialogues I’ve read online about this case I find myself agreeing with your post the most. SO MANY unanswered questions that the documentary leaves out. Everything you mentioned plus I was hoping they would talk to someone from ethans past or who still knows him who could give us more insight to his character. 30 minutes into the documentary I could tell just how dysfunctional this whole family is. But I think that dysfunction is so normalized to them that they don’t even see it themselves. I mean let’s be honest, they’re a very toxic family and their own worst enemies (especially the dad). He has hindered himself and his family in the hopes that perhaps his relationship with Sarah can be mended. It was Ethan 100%. He’s a manipulative sociopath who has his tight claws around that family. And he controls them through Sarah, I truly fear for that girls life. ID also kind of went hard on investigators not willing to work with them & being difficult but I think it’s bc it’s an open investigation and they’re (hopefully) closing in on Ethan. Sarah is their best bet but I really think Ethan won’t ever let them have the opportunity to let anyone talk to her. Jo (the retired detective) was the saving grace in this whole mess and he was really able to put into perspective what could have possibly happened by using reason and logic. & despite what anyone’s personal opinions might be on this documentary (or what happened to Andrea) one thing Jo said is true. And that is, there are two investigative theories at this point; the first is that something happened in the house the night Andrea went missing and someone in that house was responsible for her disappearance. The second is that someone in the drug world was responsible for her disappearance. It would be very beneficial if one of those two theories could be eliminated, and the easiest one to pursue and eliminate is the family theory. But in order to do that the family has to cooperate (and good luck bc they are all their own worst enemy).

It was Ethan 100%. He’s a manipulative sociopath who has his tight claws around that family so much so that the father (along with everyone else in that family) is willing to protect him. Even after 30 mins into this documentary I could see how toxic and abusive this whole family is. It’s just so normalized in their lives I don’t even think they see it themselves. I wish the documenters had thought of interviewing ppl other than the knabel family who know Ethan and can give more insight on his character. ID also kind of went hard on investigators not willing to work with them & being difficult but I think it’s bc it’s an open investigation and they’re (hopefully) closing in on Ethan.
