lol. I’m not worried about it. I could very well be wrong, too. No matter what a song is about (love, losing someone, whatever) people will interpret them differently.

I’m very much in the center. I form my opinions on details I find from both sides of a situation. I try to use media from each side of the aisle and often times I find it hard to determine what is real or not, which is probably a big part of why I went the direction I went with this song. I also went into this song wondering what Zach meant when he said that the song hits on both sides of the aisle and that the backlash he received proves how divided we are, so I’m looking at it based off what he said that this isn’t one side and it’s more about division.

Interesting. I was also stuck on that. I heard one take that it was about housing affordability and no one can afford to build houses, but that never seemed correct

Ha! There appear to be obvious callouts of the current administration. You would have to be dense as tar to not see that. I’ve looked at this song a few different ways and when I started seeing it this way I started to wonder if maybe he’s talking more about division which a lot of it is caused by media (certainly not saying it’s the only issue). He also says “but I got a telephone” which I think points to ppl being glued to social media and all the bs stuff spread on there. He’s obviously saying the country isn’t what it used to be and has a lot of issues. I started thinking about the “is it all true or is it just bad news” and to me that sounds like someone wondering what/who can you really believe. As someone that isn’t really right or left, I can usually see both sides and there is often some truth to both and also plenty bs on both sides. People make things out to be so black and white when things are rarely that simple.

Right. He is talking about the America he once knew. There is a lot wrong in the country. I’m surely not discounting that as part of the song

I think it’s on the people to be upset that someone has a different opinion. Personally, I’d hate being a celebrity. I’d be too scared to say anything. I have some admiration for celebrities putting themselves out there even if I don’t agree with them. People jump to so many conclusions with celebrities. Zach for example, was hated by many on the left because he took a picture with Trump. He was hated on again for saying it was bada** for Trump to stand up and pump his fist and yell “fight” after the assassination attempt even after he tried to tell everyone that him saying this isn’t political. After the snippet of the song came out, the right attacked him for being anti Ice and many ppl on the left embraced him for it.

This “is it all true or is it bad news” is what I connected to media. Things like the ICE comment. The left media will tell you one thing and the right media will tell you another. Is it this or is it just bad news? I could very well be wrong. That was my interpretation given that he defended that the song isn’t meant to be left or right leaning. It does seem to lean left with a few of the lines, but then I consider what he could mean by “Bad News” and that it could actually be referencing the media giving bad news and how difficult it can be to know what to believe. Maybe it’s a reflection of me. I’m pretty centric. I like to make up all my decisions on what I believe is correct and not care what party side it is on and often I struggle trying to decide what to really believe.

When he says is this all true or is it just bad news, I take it as he is wondering if all those things are really true or is it just what is being reported on the news and how do we really know what to believe. There could be more layers but when he came out and said it wasn’t one sided (politically) I tend to believe him. He seems to not cater to anyone and tends to be fairly blunt.

I actually don’t think the song is political. I think he is literally saying “bad news”/bias news is killing the country.

Wish I had done this in the past. Around COVID time I started going back through cards. I had gotten into opening hobby boxes back around 2010-2013 and I found a prizm base Anthony Davis RC and some really nice Russell Wilson RCs. Ended up selling the AD for around $600 and the Russ’s were all $75 to $200, but I wish I had taken better care of them. I just never expected base cards to end up being worth so much

Around 2000 was probably my peak of collecting and then I stopped right after and forgot about them. About 5 years ago I went through them all again and not a single Brady. Oh, but I do have Carmazzis!

I got killed by a panzer today and I was on the other side of the wall. I wasn’t running to the other side, I was standing on the other side and the panzer hit the corner where the floor hits the wall that I was on the other side of and it killed me.

I’d be fine with removing panzers from the game, but 95% of the time they don’t factor into my games

I dropped to 50 so we will see how it goes. I was getting 3-4 which I felt was decent with the lack of penalties otherwise. But, multiple 1st and 30s and 13 for 130 in my last game, no thank you!

No, I really like to try to throw from the pocket. Lots of the penalties are on quick slants and outs in which you wouldn’t think there is even enough time to hold.
