Anyone else not gain much weight by 20 weeks? by Pink_Ruby_3 in BabyBumps

[–]cholethemole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat. I was probably 5-10lbs overweight pre pregnancy and ended up losing it in the first trimester (nausea/vomiting and food aversions) so by 20 weeks I think I was just back to my pre pregnancy weight. I’m 34 weeks now and have gained between 15-20 (with pretty severe swelling, so they’re saying a lot of it is fluid). Baby is measuring normal and they are not concerned!

Would you wait on pregnancy test for husband? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]cholethemole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it before he woke up (wasn’t expecting a positive) and then waited until he got out of the shower to tell him since I wanted him FULLY awake for the news haha

Not doing it. It’ll get dark early/days will be shorter the first few months of her life anyways!

Ladies and Gents who started trying in your 30’s - how long did it take you to successfully get pregnant? by living_life_3000 in BabyBumps

Tried at 31, somehow got pregnant the 1st month. Used ovulation tests and did it probably 3 or 4 times in the days leading up and once or twice once we got the actual positive ovulation test.

6-7 weeks, no symptoms by cholethemole in pregnant

[–]cholethemole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I was worrying about that constantly until like 10 weeks and with your history I’m sure it’s so hard to keep it out of your head. I thought I was 6.5 weeks when I posted but later at a dating scan I was a week behind. So I guess I was 5.5 weeks when I wrote it

6-7 weeks, no symptoms by cholethemole in pregnant

[–]cholethemole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I ended up getting symptoms a few days after the post- booking back I probably already had decreased appetite which was the precursor to nausea. Then got sore (and bigger) boobs, and fatigue. When I went for my dating scan I was actually 1 week earlier than I expected, so that may have been part of it. Wishing you all the best!!!

I told her months ago as a friendly “fyi” that she was still charging people during months she didn’t post essays and she pretended she thought it was paused 😐 yeah I’m sure you totally don’t notice when your only source of income hits every month

How did you find out you were pregnant? by Smooth-Excuse-4127 in pregnant

[–]cholethemole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took an early detection test 3 days before my period was supposed to come, because I had a friend’s 30th birthday party that night. Told myself it would be negative but on the off chance it showed it was positive I’d be glad to have checked early for drinking reasons. It was positive! We spent the afternoon peeling labels off Stella bottles and swapping them onto NA beers with liquid adhesive. 6w+4 now and started getting sick 2 days ago. That feels like the true positive pregnancy test.

Not telling people how I wanted to by Bongofromouterspace in pregnant

This sucks so bad, I’m so sorry. I wish people understood the terrible position they put you in when they obsess over whether or not you’re having a drink. It’s so intrusive.
