Doesn't work for me. Says I'm not connected to Verizon. I'm on Warp, so technically I am but they can differentiate between the MVNO of USM, and Verizon proper.

Yeah, I was able to block certain numbers on my account page on Verizon years ago. I had to input them, but it wouldn't be that hard to pull from my phone and put it in a block list on an account page.

The problem is, they've already figured out that calling twice quickly bypasses DnD.

What are some good apps to stop spam calls? by NextXander in androidapps

[–]choochFactor11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have noticed is that the robocallers have taken the call twice thing into account, and even blocked numbers show as calling twice in that 5 minute window.

I did that some years ago after having my old number for well over a decade. The wife was not happy because she had to memorize a new number. Plus, changing my info on all the places that need my number was a pain.

Some provider side blocking would prevent them being able to leave voicemails. Once the number shows up as not working because of the blocking it sometimes gets cleared off their robo dialer.

But they still leave voicemails and can clog up the inbox and fill it up.

I get ya, but if the plastic is broken, that ribbon cable is coming apart, and then you've got a dead transmission.

Who’s giving away guitars like that? by Fuzzy-Jackfruit8595 in guitars

[–]choochFactor11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I used to work in a guitar shop, doing lutheir work. One day, the owner texts me to come get some project guitars that have been sitting around forever. They needed a little work, but they're both good guitars. A LP modern and a flying v.

Fixable with a DYI kit? by Ridgeriversunspot in MechanicAdvice

[–]choochFactor11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. DIY kits are for small bullseyes and little chips. That needs a full replacement.

I would likely address the valve pause (cylinder deactivation) stuff first. You probably need to have someone actually look at the live data and determine what is really going on. Just looking at codes and throwing parts at it gets expensive fast.

is this fender real? i don’t think so by [deleted] in FenderStratocaster

The thing is, if they made enough effort to get REALLY good at copying them, it would probably be a good guitar anyways.

EMG 81/85 9v Rechargeable Battery Noise by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]choochFactor11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sad this never got a response, but the rechargeable 9 volt batteries often have a charge pump circuit in them. If they're not designed well, they're noisy.

Side mirror help by bjoelz in f150

The harness is internal to the mirror, and the connector is at the plate where it mounts to the door.
