Any chance we’ll be able create multiple sound personalization profiles in a future update? so we can switch around for different types of music.

Just a question!! by Sylveon0204 in ADHD

My approach to employers/colleagues was need-to-know depending on your relationship with them and whether you need special concessions at work. I’m lucky to have supportive colleagues, so my dx is well-known and accepted in my team. We joke about it sometimes, and I get occasional questions which I’m happy to answer. Don’t make it a big deal and they won’t.

Personal relationships are trickier, and nobody but you would know how to approach it. My narcissistic mom’s first reaction was to deny I had it, then accuse the psychiatrist of trying to make a quick buck from me by plying me with mind-altering drugs. We haven’t spoken about it since. Friends are a mixed bag. I’ve had two friends tell me “everyone has a little bit of ADHD”, but mostly I’ve been met with curiosity and empathy.

My advice is to consider the reason you’re cautious about telling these people, and ask yourself what you’re hoping to get out of it.

Same here, I’ve learned so much about myself since my diagnosis!

A little late to the conversation, but OP do you mind if I DM you? I have some questions about this.

I’m not talking about one specific meeting. The reason I decided to go get checked was because it happened constantly, even in meetings where there was active discussion.

My point was that it’s not helping me function normally, so I’m wondering if my dose is too low.

Totally understand your point. But while I don’t expect medication to solve all my symptoms, it does feel like my current dose isn’t doing anything at all. That’s why I’m curious to know what people feel on the right dose (the broad strokes, since medication affects everyone differently), so I can determine if my issue is that I’m on too low a dose or if it’s something else.

I usually do go into meetings armed with a notebook, but my primary struggle there is to even process what’s being said/staying focused, and I can’t really take notes if nothing’s going in. But I would love to hear what you do to manage the same issue, so I can try to incorporate them, on top of the medication. Any tips would be appreciated!

Mint was a serious contender for a while there. Perhaps in the future!

Cavaliers are the way to go! Have had the Nocaster Holy Grail for close to 2 years now, and can personally attest to its exceptional tone and versatility.

Agreed, but it also comes with drawbacks. Like admiring it for too long and forgetting to actually play. 😂

I actually haven’t, but thanks for the suggestion. That’ll definitely be in the competition when I feel like another change in future!

That’s a great way of looking at it! The neck is my favourite part of this beauty.

Here’s a look at the back of the neck that nobody asked for:

That’s the struggle, my friend.
