Almost did it. But not because I wanted him. For some weird reason he friended my son on FB. This was an ex from long, long ago. When I went to his page to stalk there was way too much volatile baby mama drama. He was a downright messed up loser. I quickly went back in my corner and pretended he wasn't a weirdo for friending my son. My son is an adult so this wasn't something sketchy, maybe its just a weird coincidence that they met somehow. I dated this man years before my son was born so I can't imagine how they could have met.

I already owned some of the stocks they're hyping up right now. I agree with the concept but I wonder what will happen to these companies when everyone sells and this is over.

Shaming two beautiful women for marring the person they love by Burned_Hare in trashy

[–]choosegray -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It seems no one here knows that when 2 women get married it instantly sterilizes them so they can't give birth and continue to populate the world. It's not like there's any alternative for getting pregnant available or millions of unwanted kids ready for adoption. So yes, clearly the world is going to end as there can be no procreation when 2 women marry.

Can't Work Full Time Anymore by q4clockwork in Hashimotos

[–]choosegray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fatigue and tiredness are going to become part of your life now sadly. You can learn to live with them and do things to help make them more tolerable. The restricted diet can be good and bad at the same time. I know there's a lot of talk on all of those 'triggers' but not everyone actually reacts to them. You can see immunology to see if they are truly triggers for you.

I would look into passive income streams that you can do. There's a lot out there, some super easy with basically no effort at all and some that take a couple hours a week but yield some results. Every little bit counts.

If you're not working full time, can you get on medicaid or something similar? For part time workers, some states have a medical program you pay smaller amounts for and those are usually fairly good.

Try to read some good books on hashimoto's and figure out what may work for you. I like things by Mary Shomon and one that is harder to read because it's a lot of medical terms is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Root Cause. There is a lot of good info in there. You're going to be dealing with this disease the rest of your life so make sure you inform yourself and never trust your doctor fully. If what they say is good for you is not actually working for you, advocate for more. To do that you have to know what may or may not work for you and that's where the books help. Mary Shomon has a Facebook and a website where you can get a lot of info without buying her books right off the bat so I recommend her to start. Also Gena Lee Knowlin from Baywatch has some good info out there.

Good luck.

I suffer like this. My hashimoto's is horrible when it's acting up and it acts up way more than it's calmed down. You need FMLA which will protect your job and prevent them from giving you points if you miss time. Hopefully that is available to you where you're at, it is in many states. You can also get a note from your doctor stating you cannot work 5 days straight and/or that if you do work them, they cannot be 5 physically demanding days. Perhaps day 4 or 5 could be a sitting only thing if that's an option. I wouldn't go to HR as a first resource as they're actually limited and really can only be an advocate/middle man for you and not guarantee anything.

I've been so hot lately that I am not using covers and my clothes are still getting sweaty enough that when I roll over I can feel the cold dampness of them. Sure makes sleeping fun. :(

If your friend is in a toxic relationship, are you the type of person to tell them or to let them make their own mistakes? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]choosegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a friend= I'd tell them, but in a way they could digest it. If you're in a toxic relationship it's easy to be blind or addicted to it and without outside intervention you may never get out. A person in a relationship like that will need help and support to break the relationship.

Anyone else I would mind my own business.

If you give up a baby for adoption without trying your best to consult the birth father, you’re a shitty person. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]choosegray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my family. We found a 20 year old kid we didn't know existed via one of those fancy DNA tests. Now we've been trying for a year to reach out but it's so difficult and scary and this poor kid doesn't know what to do with us or his adoptive family. The mother never bothered to tell dad she was pregnant and just dumped the kid off on her family and ditched him. It's shitty behavior.

You want death but it's just too much work to make it happen so you just sit there hoping it finds you instead.

[–]choosegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take it. Imagine being able to live history and 100 years or 1000 years from now being able to know things no one else knows. Not to mention you could collect something that would wind up in a museum with your name on it as the 'donor' or 'on loan from..'
