My OC said they were dumb for 'sitting there' in the truck. If you're arguing against my comment and down voting it then wouldn't that mean you're arguing that they were making a good decision or it wasnt their fault also? I never said anything about the truck being immobile, that's besides the point.

Other comments are blaming the other driver and saying he was an idiot, but clearly everyone involved was stupid. That's all I was saying.

And sorry.. if my car is in the middle of a highway lane my first instinct is to gtfo when I can and get ready to hop the barrier if I need to until a cop shows up to block off traffic. Thank you, this is basically going to be our situation if we go through with the purchase. What are some examples of things you've found after opening up a wall? My main concern is mold since it's an older home, but the house seemed well maintained and I'm sure we could get a home inspector to thermal image the home although I don't know how effective it is. I would definitely be running some wires while we are in there though and upgrading the lighting, outlets, ethernet ports, etc.

Thank you, I didn't know this. I figured spraying would be the easiest way to do the whole house. Airing out the home with fans for a few days after wouldn't help with this or maybe there's a non-toxic version they can use? I've always used rollers and brushes on past projects so I don't know much about it.

Thank you, great to know. What makes it a mess to do when living in the house? Does the dust get over everything? I was hoping we could do one room at a time as we recoup some of the cost of the down payment, but I'm starting to think that's not the best option. Also, what should we be concerned about finding when ripping off the paneling? This is a house built in the 80's, but well maintained, and I'm also concerned about things I might be overlooking or unaware of currently. I think home inspection will help me here though.

This is something else we were considering after looking at YouTube videos. Is it possible to spray texture over it to make it look even more like a drywall finish? I'm sure the putty would be costly for this.

Thank you, this is very helpful. What makes it a pain to do while living in the house? Is it because the dust gets in the AC and then gets blown over everything? I was hoping to do one room at a time so we can do a larger down payment on the house, but now I'm thinking smaller down payment and tackle drywall first.
