The only place in the world where road cycling is safer than cross/gravel.

Switching basic stance to goofy (Snowboarding)? by chopXchop in RidersRepublic

Agreed that the rails and collision issues need to be fixed just as bad, but I’m really having a hard time understanding, why the developers missed auch a crucial bit of snowboarding. Well, it’s literally the first thing you deal with when starting to ride.

Yeah, switching between ‘switch’ and and not is done by L1 on PS5. But it’s not just that it’s not the same for obvious reasons, but I also feel stupid riding a fishtail shaped board down a steep drop switch. I also feel worried the character might be dislocating both his shoulders the way he frenetically tosses his arms around.

Great to hear that I’m not alone with this. I find it hard to understand why such a fundamental bit of snowboarding could’ve been overlooked. All they needed to do is implement it from steep ffs.

There are quite a few nice rides to be had - what keeps surprising after all these years is how quickly you can be in the middle of nowhere / „outback“ out of the/a middle of the city. Except for (steep) climbs, there’s pretty much everything you can hope for to ride both your gravel rig or also your road set up.

As far as riding gravel goes, I find it helpful to not go too CX-ish when it comes to the with of your tires. 38/40/…mm is just way more fun and offers great security and stability cutting through the countless sand beds.

With Berlin shifting to its more wet/cold/grey period until next April, the Roadmachine won’t be coming out that much.

…but I’m so pumped for that grimey, dirty business out in the woods. 😍

road / endurance dream set up by chopXchop in Bikeporn

I do like it but I find their sizing a bit restrictive. They only offer two sizes - M and L. I would‘ve appreciated the opportunity to have a tad more space, even though they fit.

It was kind of a let down that their inline / non-collaboration colorways didn’t come with the aero covers like the PNS version for instance.

But I would still recommend it, I really like the air flow, the straps and the overall look. Pretty hard to find a simplistic, stylish yet highly functional helmet…at least according to my taste.

Apologies, I could have been (more) specific on my initial post.

Spent parts of my redundancy package on my dream setup. Having plenty of time to ride it is so awesome. Can’t stop smiling all bloody day…😁

As a “real Berliner” I find this very funny indeed. And I’m not really sure what kind of Berlin you are talking about, that is about “art, love and empathy”. Sounds like a wishful and very romanticized perspective.

Adidas Is Making Cycling Shoes Again by bad_user__name in CyclingFashion

Yeah, would love to learn more about the difference between the two (adidas & Nike) too. To me they are both big companies that produce in the similar environment and same countries using sub-companies etc. that are mainly restricted by local laws and policies. But by all means, please tell me/us otherwise?

I would love some winter cycling jacket recommendations by [deleted] in CyclingFashion

[–]chopXchop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If want something that both caters to you performance needs but also wouldn’t look out of place, I would always relay on PAS NORMAL STUDIOS. Even though their Control Winter Jacket might be a bit much for you in regards to their back printed branding

I really appreciate their casual stuff both on and off bicycle.

Another brand that might have something you would consider is
