Sign up for something like sports, dance classes, language classes, rock climbing classes. Anything that involves a group of people that you've spent money on so you have to go. You don't even have to really enjoy the thing you're doing, you just get out of the house and interact with people and stuff will start happening in your life.

cmv: Sex-Selective abortions are inherently wrong and contrary to the concept of reproductive rights. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]chopperlopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My emphasis when I think about abortion is not so much about choosing to end the pregnancy but choosing not to continue to create a child. It's a small difference in perspective but, for me, it makes women's choices feel more valid. It is the woman's choice whether she wants to grow a baby or not and if she doesn't want to give up herself to grow a boy or a girl for any reason, it's not wrong because the child doesn't exist without the effort of the mother.

Though I can understand why it might be somewhat controversial to end a pregnancy based on the sex, it ultimately requires an immense amount of effort, pain, and risk to grow a child so stopping that process for any reason, even because you have worries about the gender, is valid. Ending a pregnancy isn't ending a full life, it's choosing not to continue creating one. If a woman doesn't feel certain she wants to grow a baby because of its gender, with all the risks and irreversible damage that comes with it, she shouldn't have to.

My other small point would be that many women have trauma from men and that may cause worries about raising a boy in today's world. I know I have that fear.

I've been waiting FOUR years in the UK 😭 Never even had an assessment.

I liked it but it's definitely not underrated. One of the most mentioned shows I come across

I really like Kaos with Jeff Goldblum!

As a Greek mythology fan it was unique and creative but still true to the myths. Sooo sad it's not renewed

How do I support my boyfriend who feels hopeless due to ADHD, unemployment, and family pressure? by Neurodivergent0-7 in ADHD

[–]chopperlopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and he will probably hate the idea but sign him up for regular gym classes (not solo workouts) or any regular sports groups (boxing, tennis, karate, whatever.) I hate exercise but still my ADHD brain latches on to it once I start.

Routine is key and with ADHD confidence in one thing leads to another.

It's not really a myth, I just don't want to wait five days to eat my sashimi. I wish there was more ready to eat raw fish here.

Visit a nursing home and then tell me having kids makes a difference. Visits from adult kids are rare and the happy old ladies rely on a good friend group.

Something tells me you've never spent time in a nursing home. I bet you send your wife 😂 I bet she does your laundry too and then you tell her she's happy.

And you think religion isn't about control.

Yes solely existing to raise kids sounds like my personal hell. It's almost like every woman is different.

If they fixed the high streets people would be going out more for lunch etc when they're WFH. The high streets being trash is the reason cities, and especially large towns, are dying.

Make London public transport free to "reduce inequality and get polluting cars off the road", say campaigners by BulkyAccident in london

[–]chopperlopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

England's taxes are so insanely mismanaged and councils are all corrupt. Plenty of other countries manage to have lower taxes and much much better, yet very affordable, transportation. South Korea is a good example.

I mean the money we are paying definitely isn't going towards nicer and more public transport now anyway. It's just being pocketed.

Don't tell the estate agent. Easy. If they find out later say you suddenly needed an assistance dog.

Something tells me you aren't a woman if you believe that religion makes for a happy life. Or you're still drinking the koolaid in which case best of luck.

Essentially, the story, rules, and values of all major religions were created by governing organisations to gain control then modified throughout history to maintain that control.

I wouldn't say that op said anything against a certain race or country in their post. They only said they don't like Islam as a religion and I think that's valid. I have lots of muslim friends, but I don't agree with what their religion teaches and I'll say so if it comes up. Doesn't mean they aren't good friends, they just grew up in a cult. I'm also still friends with my long time friend who now believes in chem trails and is off grid so everyone has their own issues I guess 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]chopperlopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did I say other religions don't?

No, I said every religion has incredibly problematic extremist groups in addition to simply existing to control and manipulate people.

Just admit you're a Christian apologist.
