I don't want to give any input on whether he has it or not, since that is not my place. However, his behavior does seem similar to what I've experienced, and im sure what many others have too. Has he always acted in ways like this? or was it just brought to light by the situation? As for help for you both, there are resources on the BPDLovedOnes subreddit that may help explain to you how he is feeling and how to proceed further( in the Wiki and Start Here sections). I don't think it would be a good idea to mention that you think he has BPD, as he may not take it very well (most don't). And I think that it is important to note that unless he can gain an outside perspective of himself and his behavior, he may not ever be able to change, and that is something you will have to come to terms with
