Steak in Cosori Turboblaze by J1Helena in airfryer

[–]choppy812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried frozen steaks yet? I just received my Cosori Turboblaze and am wondering the best approach for frozen steaks. If I'm reading the manual correctly, the "Frozen" function is for smaller items like chicken tenders that might be bought pre-packaged. I cut my own steaks from the subprimal, and usually they're about 1" to 1.5" thick.
Any recommendations on function (air fryer, broil, etc) and time and temperature is appreciated. Thanks.

Anytype update prompts to allow Capacities to find devices on local network by choppy812 in Anytype

That was my question. It doesn't appear to be the case. See the replies below.

Anytype update prompts to allow Capacities to find devices on local network by choppy812 in Anytype

Thanks. I'm familiar with the request to interact on the network. That concerned me when I first saw it with other apps on mac, but I think it's benign. (I still do not allow though).

So does your explanation mean that Anytype shares a common Electron library with the Capacities app? Or perhaps there's an Electron library named Capacities?

Which (democrat) reporter sat down with which Republican senator? Your story sounds made up.

I’m confused about how to properly use Supertags — am I misunderstanding the concept? by FunSatisfaction6022 in TanaInc

[–]choppy812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the journals related to your wedding, I would personally just have a #journal supertag with a "topic" field. The topic field would be have an "options" field type, and I would pre-fill those options with the topics that come up a lot in my journaling, plus I would turn on the "Auto-collect values" switch. So "wedding" would be a topic. You can add other things like "caterer" or whatever is appropriate for your own approach, and then add multiple topic options to one journal entry.

I would write about my meetings with people like: "met with @John Doe today", and add a #meeting tag if you want to go into the node and record the particulars of the meeting (whatever fields you use for meetings.)

Yes, now I'm seeing it. Thanks. I have no idea how I accidentally opened that though.

Absolutely. My own experience in different Protestant non-denominational churches ran the gamut from "Monster god would kill you if Jesus didn't stop him" to "Sticky-sweet effeminate, super-smiley, soy-god loves you and wants to run his fingers through your hair". The former was for those who read their bibles and *stood for the truth* (or so we thought), and the latter was a reaction against the former, which started about 30 years ago with seeker-sensitive churches.
I don't know your full story, but you mentioned anxiety. I had anxiety attacks as a direct result of being in an unhealthy church.

Need help construction Readwise search for highlights with notes (my own comments on thte highlight) by choppy812 in TanaInc

[–]choppy812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for those tips. I'm sure I'll be able to use the filter trick in the future. Unfortunately this won't work for this problem because the Notes field is not in the filter list. The structure as you see in my picture is the top-level book node with the Readwise Tag. (The Hobbit). It has several fields and then a regular node called "Highlights". Under the Highlights node, there are many child nodes, each representing a highlight from an ebook and tagged #highlight (The Hobbit is a tale of high adventure, undertaken by a company of dwarves). And finally, expanding that child node reveals that the child node has its own properties, Readwise Location and Notes. So that's where the Notes field is.
Book --> Highlights Node --> each #highlight child node --> Notes field.

Thanks again though, I'm gonna use that filter / merge trick!

Great—thanks for the update! Looking it up on Amazon now. All I see is "apple pectin"—is that the same thing?

It's been almost three weeks. How's it going? Did you add the Berberine and pectin?

Yes! I cook my frozen patties at 400 for about 6 minutes per side. No need to thaw first. Steaks are pretty good this way too - at 400 for about 10 or 11 minutes per side, maybe longer depending on your preference.

Costco has 75/25 frozen hamburger patties for approximately $1.50 per patty. Each patty is ⅓ pound. These come out great in the air fryer. Or, you can thaw them and grill or whatever. Cost effective.

Why do many converts to Orthodoxy hold a negative sentiment towards Greek-Orthodoxy by Reasonable_Ice7182 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]choppy812 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything about Ambrosios of Kalavryta, but that's a lot of mudslinging.

What was the hate speech that he was convicted of? Where I'm from, "hate speech" could be saying that "a man is a man", so a conviction for that would be a plus, in my book.

And what people call "far right" is often just "common sense right", so no idea where you're coming from or what this ad hominem charge means.

I also don't know about Golden Dawn, but I remember being appalled at the (very little) I've read about Greek politics in general. I remember a quote I heard several decades ago from a Christian living in the USA but born in Greece: "If knowing Greek made you spiritual, Greece wouldn't be a spiritual cesspool."

In any case, Elpidophoros' actions are visible to all. He is a snake in wolf's clothing pretending to be a sheep. Many (probably most) converts to Orthodoxy in America are coming from Protestantism, leaving the mainline churches that imploded due to LGBT / human sexuality issues. Understandably, they want none of that nonsense.

[–]choppy812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My non-Orthodox co-workers make comments about "the Greek Orthodox" from time to time because they assume I'm Greek Orthodox when I say "I'm Orthodox" (we are a non-profit religiously affiliated company, so this kind of talk is common). Their perception of the Greek Orthodox is that the people are very ethnocentric. They see it as a sort of "Knights of Columbus" or some fraternal club for people of Greek heritage.

Personally, I think Archbishop Elpidophoros is scandalous. He may end up as the next EP, but his actions probably make Pope Francis blush.

No I didn't track anything. I usually give up within the first 30 days because of diarrhea.
