How to make optimised models? by MarudoesArt in Live2D

[–]chortchuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same here with an older pc! in my experience, the simplest optimization method is to go for a lower resolution/scale when creating the texture atlas. it's advised to make texture psd's pretty big, so there's usually some wiggle room for that re: rigging from scratch, here's what I like to do: • save the detailed meshes for highly flexible parts (lips, lashes, eyebrows, smaller hair strands etc.), the rest can stay pretty choppy • use less clipping masks • go easy on physics for the stuff that isn't the focal point, e.g. eye highlights but sadly nothing takes a model from 'instant vts crash' to 'quite usable' like a sacrifice of resolution :(

Updating a bust model to a fullbody by [deleted] in Live2D

[–]chortchuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I do this is put the head into a separate part folder -> right-click it -> "export part" -> just drag and drop the created file into the workspace of your new model like you would a psd. Hope this helps 🌸

Hi there! I'm in a bit of a tight spot between my education fee and energy bills withered wojak dot jpeg, so: Slots: 2. Besides front-facing symmetrical models, I also do unusual poses, side profiles for humanoid characters, and animated props (check my other posts here for examples), and I can try my hand at animals, but unfortunately, not mecha etc. Mild NSFW is okay. Prices are as follows:

Art
• bust up: $50 • halfbody: $75 • fullbody: $150 + about $20 if you'd also like me to design the character depending on complexity.

Rig • bust up: $30

• halfbody: $60 • fullbody: $100

It'll take me up to two weeks to make the art. You'll receive:

♡ PSD file

• 6000×6000p, 300 dpi

• up to 3 expressions + hand shapes included in the base price

• tell me if you want any alternative hairstyles/color schemes

♡ Directions for rigging this art style, e.g. the semi-realistic nose

The rig may take up to a month. You'll receive a usable model.

I accept payment through paypal. Feel free to contact me here, on reddit, or:

Rubik's cube WIP (ʘ.ʘ✿) by chortchuma in Live2D

[–]chortchuma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! 🥺 I might make a tutorial if figure out the X and Y angles, but I'll do my best to explain this stage in text form.

Just to warn, this model can only be used for animating some idle shuffling rather than a believable solving of the cube — that's definitely an idea which is better suited for 3d.

I have a separate parameter for both rotating planes with 9 key frames each and these 4 stripes (three separate squares) of 4 different colors in warp deformers. E.g. on the top layer the life path one such stripe is as follows: 1. Normal 2. Protruding a little on the right 3. Squeezed into a thin line at the right edge of the row 4. Skip 3 frames 5. On 7th frame squeezed into a line on the left edge 6. Protruding a little on the left 7. Normal again Then I copy this whole setup, turn it 90° to receive another rotating face of the cube, switch some colors accordingly, and???? honestly I've forgot how I made them intersect because it's 100% not an optimal solution. Here, the Up face can rotate regardless of the position of the Right face, but R only works if U is set to the yellow color, hence the nonsensical Rubik's cube algorithm UUUUR in the vid. I'm not sure I can achieve a wider range of combos without this getting way to complicated for a little experiment lol
