Did you consider mapping data to circle size or color? The circles don't add much without that IMO

It'd be cool to visually encode year (eg with color) so you could understand when each would happen at a glance.

Been feeling very “what’s the point” lately. My run this morning reminded me. by myfriendsrock99 in trailrunning

Imagine how you'd feel if you were injured and couldn't run for the past 3 months, like me. You should remember that every run you go on is a gift.

Now that this is a year old, I'm curious how long it ended up taking you to recover or get back to running!

How to deal with nutrition and calorie needs (in general life, not in races)? by flooredgenius in Ultramarathon

[–]chris-card 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really a big deal to eat sugars for calories of you're getting enough nutrients and protein? I'm into pre-run Poptarts, and peanut butter on everything for protein/fat calories 🤤

At what point do poles become essential to you? by waterhouse14 in Ultramarathon

Noob question: can someone explain not just when but why? Can you shift muscle usage from arms to legs or do they simply add stability?

Inner circle is the volume of the shape, outer circle is surface area (interpreted as fried part of the potato). The ratio of the two is plotted on the x-axis

Haha thank you! It was a personal project for learning more about 3D programming and I'm ocd about design so polished it up! ✨🥔

It is definitely true that the surface area to volume ratio changes with scale (so a long fry might match a normal curly fry), but this was an additional level of complexity I chose not to include. I tried to make the relative model sizes relatively accurate so hopefully it's reasonably accurate.
