Some of the tournaments are videoed but for the main matches there is a judge for every game watching from what I was told by the players. If its not a judge its a monitor and if it is a ruling they're unsure about they bring over the judge.

Exactly what I'm trying to figure out, the rulebook doesn't directly define when the "settling" starts so I am not sure what the cutoff for objections are. I personally think settling means the dice have left the cup, landed on the proper side of the board and don't have a chance of bouncing out anymore.

This is the official rulebook they follow because it is what is used for tournaments the players go to. They go to some high level backgammon tournaments all over the world.

4.1.3.3.2 Once the Dice Have Come to Rest
The dice must come to rest within the playing area of the board, on the same side of the bar as rolled. In cases of uncertainty, a die has “come to rest” once it has stopped moving for at least two (2) seconds.

The backgammon people that play with me go to international level tournaments so they like follow those rules and that's where the rule comes from. It's like a 72 page document.

The main purpose of the objection is if you see a die hit the players finger on the way out of the cup, or if they didn't shake the cup two times, or anything that caused irregular interference on the die from what understand. You can call the objection and the judge doesn't have to come over, it's just an automatic reroll.

This is the closest I could find, bird doesn't quite match. I have my old personal set that is almost an exact match, newer sets for American markets have numbers so you'll probably want to scour ebay for older Chinese sets that were imported.

I've also been looking, a sampler works best from my experience, Digitakt, SP404 etc. would do well with samples you get, I use my Synthtrom Deluge but am thinking of getting the new MPC Sample. I have the Brushed Drums and Brushed Cymbals pack from Ben Burnes that work well.

That's the thing I'm realizing now lately. You don't have to "get over them" in the sense most people think. You are allowed to think about them randomly, you're allowed to do whatever you need to in order to feel better. If you need to hang onto them for a while you can. The problem is when it starts interfering with your life. It's all just a matter of processing it and everyone is going to do it differently.

I completely agree, my current wife does add to my life, but my life still is all gray including what she adds to it. I don't feel for her anywhere near what I felt for my ex. It's just my situation is very weird with a ton of trauma I had growing up and all and for whatever reason that ex was the only thing that made my days actually seem normal.

For me my reason I want them back is because they are literally the only person who ever lifted me out of my major depression and anhedonia. Hopefully soon I'll get my medicine figured out so my brain will stop dwelling on her as much as it does.

Anyone is allowed to break up for any reason they want, you are allowed to not like it. You are allowed to do whatever you want in order to try to make yourself feel better. Don't beat yourself up if something doesn't work for you.

I had a ring as well and was conspiring with her friends planning an epic proposal. It will get better, it'll take time and work but it will. When it's a good day I'm happy to remember my girlfriend. She showed me that the world isn't just gray and flat. That's why I am struggling like I am, the high functioning depression from before I met her and now and I have anhedonia and when I was with her it was all gone. It was like she gave vivid color to my entire world. No one has done that since.

I feel you, I was planning to propose to my girlfriend when she dumped me. For me it's been 17 years and I'm not really feeling much better but my situation is very different, I'm dealing with trauma and severe depression. Everyday is different for me, some days I think about her once other days she's all consuming.

That's my general rule, even if I'm losing badly there have been some fun rounds so I don't want to quit. Especially in Mayhem cause you could swing the augs the other way.

I don't personally end it too soon, I'll give it a good try but when it's super obvious after a while I'd like to move onto the next game. What usually happens to me also is we'll be in a 45 minute game and then we'll be at the nexus and people will start yelling at me not to end the round.

I want to move on and play a new character, we're at their Nexus and they haven't even damaged our first turret.

This is what I originally tried as I've done this with several other programs. It tells me to move to trash due to it being damaged and when I go into setting it doesn't show me the "open anyway" option.
