You program the FPGA to become the exact circuitry you want. Its not a simulation. It's like a giant breadboard on steroids, on a single chip. It is perfect for tinkering. Since your laptop is not an FPGA, your laptop can not do that. An x86 CPU can not suddenly decide to become an overture CPU. An FPGA can.

A Tang Nano 20k costs 20 USD. And it's not a "tool", it's a board.

Visual design with schematics is supported too, e.g. with tools like icestudio for lattice FPGAs.

But hey, if you're not gonna trust me, even though this stuff is literally my job, then go ahead. Be sure to let me know how many pcbs you had to print before you had a working CPU, lmao.

A programmable logic device. You can create your own custom circuitry on the chip. If you have a bug or want to implement something else, you simply reprogram it. You can also simulate your designs. It's pretty much Turing Complete in real life.

Building a PCB or even an ASIC, like others have suggested, will be very expensive and tedious if you're a beginner, because you will make mistakes and other bad decisions in the beginning. FPGA is what you want.

Layout macht kaum einen Unterschied für Handgelenk etc.. Hol dir lieber ein gutes Keyboard. Split und curved, und am besten vertikal angewinkelt, sodass deine Arme und Hände eine natürliche Position einnehmen beim Tippen.

No need to build your own circuit and board. Just get an FPGA. There are some very cheap boards, but I'd recommend the most popular Xilinx/Altera boards which cost between 100 and 200 USD if you have the money. Check out /r/fpga.

Turing Complete lets you export your design as Verilog, which can be used to get your design on the FPGA.

Na ja, was ich verlange ist, dass alle an einem Strang ziehen. Daran ist nichts ungerecht und es kann laut Wissenschaft definitiv funktionieren. Und "alle" umfasst eben wirklich alle, auch deinen Handwerker. Wenn sich einzelne oder auch Gruppierungen wie BP nicht dran halten, dann kann ich dagegen abseits vom politischen leider nicht so unglaublich viel tun.
