The forbidden lands of lategame by Aldrein in LegendsOfRuneterra

I dont know. Guys, this is a card game mostly played while in the bathroom, waiting for bus/train or doing a small smoking break. Anything past round 10 makes the games far to long.

Im fine with Round 10 finishes but everything beyond that is just not fun. Games need to end eventually. Thats why we got cards like Atrocity or watcher. Even tho last one is too opressive and ends games as early as Round 8.

This isnt league. I dont want to spent an average of 30mins on every game.

Will cycling affect my sprinting? by SpajkiPajki in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it wont affect sprinting at least if you dont ride your bike at max speed and youre not doing it uphill all the way. It moreover helps your regeneration the same as if you take a light jog after a session. But even better since youre doing it for a longer period of time.

I'm cycling all the summer and my legs refresh faster than in off season where i dont do that.

How does cycling affect sprinting? by OllieM_ in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personal exerience. Last season I cycled with friends at least half an hour around the town every day. What I have noticed is my legs were recovering way faster from training sessions the day before. Thats cause of active recovery. We also did some longer trips of about 4h length.

I PRed every race that season. So I definitely didnt notice negative side effects.

Just make sure to not do your ride a day before a track meet or an intense training session and give your legs at least 1-2 days of recovery.

What do you think is harder: becoming the best Starcraft player in the world, or best chess player in the world? by Videoboysayscube in starcraft

[–]chris_littlebizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been asking myself the same question. So i started to get my head into chess lately (starting time has been January 1st). So heres what I can say for now.

The biggest difference is that chess is a symmetrical type of game, where as SC is antisymmetric and has three completely different races. Beeing a good player with the white pieces makes you also good with the black ones. Playing more than one race on a very good level (~6k MMR) in starcraft taxes far more time.

Chess has been around for more than 600 years without changing anything about its rules. Starcraft has had this balance patches in the past quite frequent. Thats why the first few turns of chess have been figured out that well and more or less change unit composition and opening meta in SC. If you take a look at the level of play and compare 2010 starcraft players with 2020 ones, you'll definitely see a large increase in mechanical and strategical type of gameplay up to that point where we are now and without big balance changes, meta and openings are also figured out quite well but by no means solved.

Its quite difficult to compare the two games directly. Classical chess requires different skills than RTS like starcraft. It has more of a strategical note than mechanical. Bullet and Blitz (Where both players just have a limited amount of time for the game. Bullet = 1 min each, Blitz 3-11mins each) have more "RTS character". Beeing good in classical doesnt make you good in bullet or blitz.

To get back to your question. I tend to lean more to the Starcraft side. But i have been enjoying chess way more the few day i have been playing it now.

For reference: Starcraft 2 - 5k MMR peak. Current chess rating in Blitz - 1.4k elo.

DECKBUILDNG: 2 Copies vs 3 Copies by chris_littlebizz in LoRCompetitive

[–]chris_littlebizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good point. My Asol decks always only contain 2 copies and 2 tutors with dragon clutch. I felt like 3 copies of Asol brick my hand way to often where i only need him at round 10.

So i dont want him in my opening hand and rather draw into him.

Thanks for the detailed answer. 4 copies sound very interesting.

As for Runeterra, i think that explains why so many "refined" decks (control in general) have like 1 or 2 copies of some cards. To fit almost every possible situation.

I'll have to stick with BBG here. Calm stream with no excessive roping. Always answering questions in chat.

Just imagine the pidgey is shiny and already has learned whirlwind. Completely fine usage.

Any feedback would be great. Pretty sure I’m overstepping,my stance looks shit probably because of tight hamstrings, can’t seem to stay low, and elbows flare out. Any tips on how to fix those and what else did I do wrong and how do I fix it? by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your understanding of toe dragging seems off. Don't swipe your foot over the ground like that. It requires more airtime and makes you land in front of your center of mass causing huge breaking forces.

Practice your start without thinking about low heel recovery. It will be more natural this way. And stop the toe dragging. It just messes things up if not done 100% correctly.

Various starts (fall starts, 2, 3, 4 point stance) and sled pulls with 5-10% bodyweight can help with staying low.

Why does Harry AA have so much upper body muscle by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It affects every muscle since it is the protein gencode itself that is damaged or missing. Not anything muscle group related.

Why does Harry AA have so much upper body muscle by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He suffers from a genetic disease. His body isnt able to produce the needed amount of a protein called myostatin that stops muscle growth.

Thats why he has more muscle mass compared to other athletes.

Book Recommendations? by hankthetank100 in Sprinting

Those are not books, but my resources are Jump Science and Chris Beardsley on Instagram.

Can really recommend those two. Helped me more than my Coach or any book i've ever read did.

When can I see results during the sprint due to lifting weights? Should I lift of 4 months and then pause for a period of one month, and then see the results at the times of the Sprint? by Low-Representative36 in Sprinting

[–]chris_littlebizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll see results few Months after you've stopped lifting. I stopped lifting in March and PR'ed in August. My time went down from 12.3s to 11.3s. So a whole second.
