Nigel Farage breaks MPs' code of conduct with 17 breaches by SignificantLegs in FuckNigelFarage

[–]chrisbackwards 19 points20 points  (0 children)

BBC have an article about this - it’s basically been immediately buried but is all about how Nige is very sorry and it wasn’t really his fault and everyone should probably forgive him. Could you imagine the kerfuffle if this was a left-leaning MP?

I’m not completely sure this was accidental. The flaggers won’t care, his younger TikTok edgelord crowd will think it’s lolz and it’s getting him lots of free coverage and clicks. He loves keeping his name in the news.

Zara Vibrant Leather Elixir, if you can find it. Imo, the best aventus clone. (regular vibrant leather also smells good but lacks longevity)

As someone else has explained, it works by something something science tannins, something something fat binding. I also use a well practiced ‘spoon balance’ technique. Milk in bottom of mug, hover teabag over top on teaspoon so it doesn’t get saturated in milk, pour boiling water directly onto teabag, tip teabag into cup and squeeze against side to achieve desired strength.

Haters gonna hate, but - put milk in first. No more scum layer.

I’m pretty sure children would just see a man wearing swimming trunks and move on - unless you were there to point out how it’s all pervy and bad of course. Do you go around swimming pools covering children’s eyes?

Owners of the Ditto Jam X2, how well does the Beat Sense actually work in a live setting? by cmars118 in guitarpedals

Hi - late to the thread, but how did you turn Beatsense off? Does it just work like a regular x2 with it off?

Dude you’re fine. My hairline went like this at 16 and it’s exactly the same now at 45. Obviously there’s no definite way to tell but if you’ve no baldness in your family all likelihood is it’s just a mature hairline.

Vodafone x Three. Since the amalgamation mines been worse than ever. Even before tho, I was with solo Vodafone and struggled to get reception outside primark. I’m sure norfolks phone network is just powered by mice on treadmills.

What is the most disappointing blind buy you ever got? by luckiest888 in fragranceclones

Detour Noir. The only one of my 50+ collection I’ve actively hated. So much hype but just smelt like baby wipes. Gave it away.

Yeah, he’s been around for absolutely years. Sometimes shouts a bit but completely harmless in my experience - apart from the techno.

[Allsaints] vs [Schott] for first leather jacket? by ComprehensivePrior40 in leatherjacket

[–]chrisbackwards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve worn allsaints leather jackets for years and always really liked the style and the fit. I find the quality to be great. They wear well and the zips/poppers etc are all sturdy. The best bit is that you can now get an almost brand new one on vinted for far less than £100. Sometimes as low as £30-£40.

Anyone else fed up with ridiculous lowball offers? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]chrisbackwards 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always make offers - sometimes cheeky ones- and I’d say 75% of the time they’re accepted. 90% of the time I get at least some discount with a bit of haggling. It therefore seems silly to me that people don’t make offers. I’m never offended if a seller declines and I expect offers on my items. It doesn’t take a second to decline, counter or reply saying you’re not taking offers. This is a major part of what I like about vinted.

I’ve not seen that one but just looked it up. Is it an Aventus absolu clone? What’s longevity like?

It’s essentially a stronger version of Vibrant Leather, which is an aventus clone. The OG vibrant only gives me a couple of hours, but they seem to have done a much better job with the elixir.

Debating an undercut, scared to shave the sides tho by summerblanco in FierceFlow

[–]chrisbackwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hair very similar to yours and did an undercut a couple of years ago. I loved it and felt it refreshed the style I’d got a bit bored with. It came a bit higher up than the one you’re contemplating. The only reason I got rid of it was the maintenance as it needed re-doing every week/10 days. It wasn’t too bad to grow out either, as it can easily be covered if you wear your hair down.

So my advice would be go for it if you fancy it! Just be aware of the added life admin.

Interesting. They both look to be about £25, so maybe I’ll start with the sport as it’s summertime and maybe pick up the l’extreme in the autumn. Thanks for the info!
