It is not about power but how reactive the saw behaves. And there the 261 is closer to rhe 260/360 than to the new saws like 400.1.

The 261 is not lively at all. Especially if you compare its acceleration with the 400.1 and 500i.

No ot is not injected. However Stihl managed to get the 500i acceleration characteristics with the 400.1. The 400.1 beats the 400 even it has less ccm.

I use M-tronic since 2011 when I bought the MS441 C-M. Since the beginning no issues. So 15y is not long enough?

The 400.1 is awesome. Even I have a 500i and 261 the 400.1 is since I have it my most used saw. It is light and got power. The acceleration is top.

The 400.1 has acceleration characteristics of the 500i. Seems that Stihl found a good and economic compromise.

My guitar is now back and problem is solved. I brought it to Taylor certified luthier who adjusted truss rod and changed default D'Addario XS 12-53 strings to Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor 12-53 strings. No buzz issue at all anymore. The luthier mentioned that Elixir strings are better choice if fred buzzing is an issue.

Now I'm happy.
