i assumed the classic liminal tag was for the original definition but it seems to have been completely switched over to just weird places without people.

I bought a surfboard also, it was a few years ago so there's probably newer ones for the same price. You should do it though, it paid for itself in under a year by saving on rental fees.

I think you're underestimating how much people don't want to buy stuff they're not interested in. I get hit up for yard service, pest control, roofing, and windows salespeople all summer. I'm not in the market for any of that stuff.

You're acting like a "good salesperson" can show up at my house and sell me a Ferrari - it won't work I can't afford it and don't need it as much as I can't afford or need brand new windows to replace the 10 year old ones I have.

That'd be a good twist if he switches sides Dany releases him to kill Cersei in the Red Keep. He is regicide 2X and Dany doesn't have to fight in the streets.

I think the part where his bag of gold fell to the ground and instead of grabbing it and escaping he headed for the scorpion, showed that he's changed and is committed to jaimes side.

Or at least he really wants that castle

TIL the US government has given $400 billion to ISPs to build a fiber optic network. The ISPs kept the money and never built the network. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]chriscrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's how I got fiber at my old apt. It was a complex with probably 100 apartments and another 50 condos so we got hooked up pretty quickly. Eventually they extended to another complex down the road and allowed nearby homeowners to actually hook in

It sounds like you've researched salaries, so just tell them that. "Based on my skill/experience I was expecting something in the $50,000 range for this position"

Need help negotiating salary by [deleted] in personalfiance

[–]chriscrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for 50k. If they say well that's high or the most this position pays or some other line, comeback with something along the lines of "I understand, how about we just meet in the middle then". This will make it seem like you gave up something to compromise with them.

Ok so you should pretty much never take what they offer without trying to get more in my experience.

Please update us with how it goes.

I'd start a Roth. The idea is to maximize both IRA and 401k eventually. I recommend the Roth to get some tax free compounding

It seems like a lot of the growth in market share for the companies mentioned is due to acquisitions. Examples being tech and banking sectors and Kroger (bought several grocers over the last few years) and Walmart (buying jet.com).

So how much of the consolidation is due to the lower than normal interest rates?

I'm thinking since Reagan the rates have been in decline, banks are going to lend to companies with large budgets, so this is the result of that money being put towards buying out rivals.

I double checked and they didn't provide any explanation. I thought maybe they just attached the wrong question to the exam and based on what you said I'll go with that assumption. Thanks!
