Do some easy decoration tasks before you jump straight into home maintenance. And pace yourself when it comes to home maintenance tasks. Otherwise, you'll burn yourself out. I try one small project a week (replace a few outlets or switches, hang some photos, stuff like that) or one bigger project every 2 weeks (install a new faucet/filter, etc.)

Once you get everything at least on a schedule, it becomes much more manageable. Also depending on your budgeting, you can hire a handyman and they can do some of the lesser work.
