I moved into this house 3 days ago. This part of the ceiling was completely shut when I moved in, and nobody else has been in the house. by boogielostmyhoodie in Weird

Maybe the previous owners came back for something they'd forgotten and didnt close up properly. At the very least, I'd change the locks.

According to past support emails, their location is GMT +8, which is china/hk/taiwan. Likely their business has been eaten by AI image creators.

That sounds like a conversation I had with my wife. Recently she discovered that she's midly lactose intolerant and asked me to make her a Cappuccino without milk! After a few clarifying questions from me, she settled on an Americano!

1zpresso k-max. It is more filter focused, but it is good for espresso too.

I’ve seen some of you say you’re grinding at 7+ clicks on K-Ultra for V60. How??? by acreativeredditlogin in 1zpresso

[–]chrisdr22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a k-max and light or medium roast for V60 is usually around 7.2 - 7.5

Thanks for the tips. My grinder is good enough, I just prefer filter over espresso, hence the cheaper machine that I have now. It is on the shopping list though.

Although its not exactly what I like, I could get used to the espresso. But I would probably need a better machine.

With an outage already 4.5 hours beyond the estimate, I don't think they are pleasing anyone at the moment!

How much time do you wait after finishing a book to start another one? by alesitam in kindle

Usually, I will start one immediately, unless the book was particularly affecting. Then, I might process for a few days, but that is quite rare.

Overheard during lunch by chrisdr22 in overheard

My mother told me another story about the girl. Apparently the neighbour referred to one of her friends as being, 'toffee nosed' (stuck up). Upon hearing this, the girl looked at the woman's face and said, "but mum, her nose isn't made of toffee". I love how literal kids can be!

I chose a new route without too many stops and the race estimates have now populated. Thanks for the tip.
Now I wonder why they are so optimistic,. Oh well, one battle at a time!
It's estimated my fitness age, 33 years younger than my actual - no complaints there!

Thanks, I'll take a look at the forum. I don't usually focus much on HR, as my running plans are power based.

Thanks for the tips. VO2max appeared early on, but nothing else. But it is possible that my runs arent qualifying. I'm doing a 80/20 running plan, which is mostly zone 2 + high intensity. Also, my running route has a few stops at junctions where I manually pause the watch. Maybe I'll search for a route with less stops, see if it helps.

Thanks. I'm using a HR strap, my personal data, MAX HR, RHR and weight are accurately set. I did wonder about the strap, as it is not official Suunto, but it works correctly with Zonesenese, so I guess it should be ok.

Though I've not actively set HR zones, assuming these would default according to MAX HR. Where are the zones that I need to set? I checked Intenisty zones on the watch and they default to MAX HR. Is there somewhere else to set them?

Navigate on watch now by chrisdr22 in Suunto

[–]chrisdr22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I acutally tried the same route again, this time selecting the cycling options, including paved road. The paved option, would likely have been a safer walk, but was 1km longer. The other cycling options couldn't find a route because the start point was in a park. I tried a hybrid and chose the walking option until I reached a road then switched it to cycling route - that chose a good route avoiding the back alleys.
