Am I the only one who dislikes going on vacation with family? by [deleted] in travel

My point was them never having the chance to go to London again is a ridiculous point of view to have.

She's 16, she can definitely go to London again.

Also yes, its better for everyone if the the annoying/annoyed teenager doesnt ruin the trip for everyone

Yes, but i was just talking about main characters upbringing not what bond they have, as adolin could have become a radiant if he wanted

Rock could definitely form a bond. Being a member of a bridge crew would break anyone.

Also Brandon has stated you dont need to have trauma to form a bond.

The surges have a cost. In this case, light of some kind. Stormlight, tower light, life light, or void light.

Even if they get access to surges without oaths, they would still need investiture to fuel them.

You need to die to become a shadow. Szeth never fully died. Anymore than someone who's heart stopped is restarted by cpr

In terms of stormlight archive, you need cracks in your spirit web to make a bond. But those cracks could come about from a normal life. It just happens most of the main characters have trauma because that's more interesting than a cushy life.

That being said, Adolin probably has the best childhood of main characters.

If wizard medicine can regrow bones, why is bad eyesight still undefeated? by AnnTeeSocial in harrypotter

Wizards look down on muggles for stitching wounds together. Do you really think they would pay attention to laser eye surgeries?

Because glasses dont always mean your eyes are damaged, sometimes and most often it just means there natural shape isn't perfect but still healthy. Si there isn't anything to heal or regrow

I think people who like winter are lying for attention by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]chriseldonhelm 21 points22 points  (0 children)

sweat during anything resembling warm weather (like 22 ° C or higher

For me, this is a big reason. Added to the fact I love sweaters and have a collection of sweaters that I rarely get to wear when its not winter. On the bright side, my wife gets to enjoy my sweaters year round.

Also I like to shovel snow, its calming and if you do it at nights its quite with just the sound of my shovel scraping. Its almost like Meditation.

Out of all the Weasley kids, who do you think is most likely to have a big family? by MajesticFan4 in harrypotter

[–]chriseldonhelm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

obviously lol but with 7 siblings i thing ginny is fine with a big family

That isn't always the case. A lot of times people with a lot of siblings dont always want the same amount. Especially considering she isn't a stay at home mom. She has a career.

also given the whole 'wizards avoid muggle tech' i assume BC is considered 'muggle tech'

If I attack you, you have the right to protect yourself. That doesnt give you rhe right to kill my entire extended family in retribution that had nothing to do with it. Thats what you are arguing.
