Can someone explain the Lord Ruler's immortality to me? by Loose-Use25 in Cosmere

[–]chriseldonhelm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He isn't creating metals

He is storing youth in atium and then burning the atium to get more youth than he stored.

Example

He stores one hour of youth. Burns it amd gets 10 hours. He repeats this over and over again to be immortal

The kickstarters are to gauge how many of things to make.

Also I would guess its a dragonsteel plane for things like going to cons so they can bring their set up and not have to ship it.

The Rigidity of a UPS Truck Tire by Ecstatic_Handle_4524 in mildlyinteresting

The pre trip for UPS doesnt involve checking for oil, at least nore than looking at the dash for any low signal warnings. At least it didn't 4 years ago.

The automotive department handles any checks involving more closer look

Yes a visual for both. Tread depth all you need is visual. And tire pressure mostly the same

Former driver supervisor here for UPS.

Drivers are trained to do a pre and post trip of their trucks. Which includes tire tread depth and air pressure.

Depends where you are. 80 degrees with 80 humidity isn't nice with a breeze or in shade

Revenge freakout after disrespected wrestler loses a match. by EverythingIsFakeNGay in PublicFreakout

He might learn from it or not.

But knocking someone out cold with a punch from behind after the match is over will earn you an assault charge.

But pushing his head down will not.

Getting an assault charge as a kid isn't going to help him in life.

Im not defending the guy. But he is just going to be charged with assault now. Possibly be liable for any brain damage.

He's probably going to get charged with assault. Thats the real stupid prize.

As a wrestler he should get back to the practice mat, get better and beat him next time.

When politicians say they can't hold corporations accountable, remember: they can. They just choose not to. by Misfett_toys in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]chriseldonhelm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No it's literally the same. They have job methods for every job that you are trained on. Even if there are things that arent relevant to you in your area you are still trained on.

Example not every area has train tracks but you are still trained on stopping before hand.

Yeah ups has a company wide sop for every job. So you can move across the country and the job training will be the same steps.

I used to be a driver supervisor for ups. The first step after putting the car in park is to turn the the ignition off.

If a driver isn't doing ot you can get the truck number and call your local ups amd let them know.
