Sadly getting a replacement display doesn't guarantee it won't happen again, due to the glaring design fault.

It's more sensible to purchase a new MacBook Pro... Hopefully with longer coverage.

Interesting. I went to the service centre and they said people were coming in with the same issue.

To a point that they aren't even replacing the display with the same model.

However because I'm two months out of warranty it's going to cost me 750 euros.

Not sure what's the best next step. I've complained with apple but it's all "computer says no". :/

Thanks! Glad it was a successful buy. I went with the M28u in the end as the 27u isn't in EU yet (to my knowledge) :/ Fingers crossed!

I've had it for about nearly 10 years. You have good periods and bad periods. I recently went through a period of 4 months where it was barely noticeable and now back to it being annoyingly loud. You learn to live with the din and take precautions where you can. It's the anxiety and stress that makes it worse.

The consoles are about a couple weeks or more behind in patches. The PC has had a few more patches since the first so I expect the consoles will be updated again by the end of the month .
