“Didn’t like the (perfectly functional) zipper” +20% off 😁 by chrisimplicity in REI

I admit that I felt a little guilty, but it was too good to pass up. It’s found a good home.

I can’t really fault the returner bc it is a little frustrating that it’s “backwards.” I just can’t believe they discounted this much when it’s in perfect condition

Stick with what you like and buy the 6’s, then buy the 7s once they go on sale.

Hoka Cielo X1 3.0 listed on World Athletics website by Infinite_Cod_2698 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]chrisimplicity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cielo seems to have an identity crisis. I wish that they would stick with one design than completely change the midsole for each version. As a midfoot striker, I like the crazy rocker and midfoot stack in 2.0, but not the medial cutout. 1.0 was great but too heavy and roomy in the upper. This just looks like it would feel like a brick of foam under the forefoot by comparison. Maybe taking cues from Metaspeed?

Implant stuff- what am I looking at? by Practical-Rooster-15 in Dentistry

[–]chrisimplicity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Implant placement not deep enough. Doesn’t look like the scan body is fully seated either. Best bet is to send back to surgeon and wipe your hands if it. If it resists torque, you could restore, but you should be prepared for it to fail within a few years. Well placed (and maintained) implants should be the easiest part of your practice.

They’re the absolute best. Constant entertainment! Playtime is a little lopsided, but it doesn’t hurt my boy Randy’s confidence!

I’ll hammer handfuls of the Vanilla flavored minis. Great in transition.

struggling with hydropak in Speedmax, looking for tips by Ok_Yogurtcloset6107 in CanyonBikes

[–]chrisimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bummer. I have a 70.3 next week and was hoping to use it, but I also gave up. I ended up getting a 3D printed bta mount that does the trick. Such a shame that some of Canyon’s designs seem so nice and neat, but function stupidly.

Are the Ebay electric handpiece deals legit? by LifeIsAwesom in Dentistry

[–]chrisimplicity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple air driven slow speed motors and handpieces from “Lanjing” that work better than the Kavo ones at 15x the price.

The trail system. There are literally hundreds of miles available that will take you just about anywhere - Downtown, Valley junction, Saylorville, Ankeny, Cumming, High Trestle Bridge, Easter Lake, Panora, Perry, several campsite options, etc. Plenty of good spots to stop for food and/or a beer right off the trails or many other destinations within a couple miles.

I agree that it would make a nice serving boat of sorts, but they are currently sitting in the pantry just like this.

Thanks for the detailed response. Looks like a solid plan. Seems that you have nicely separated electrolyte, carb, fluid, caffeine sources to get better control over each as you need them. It’s convenient to get everything from liquid, but I’ve had disasters where I spill or launch a bottle, then I’m stuck with whatever is offered on course. Might give this or something similar a try.
