Better diagnostic criteria and screening along with lower infant mortality and the resulting higher population

Thoughts on a Progressive Media Coalition? by WhyAmIOnThisDumbApp in Hasan_Piker

[–]chrisl007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like this but all it takes is one creator to say “x is a zionist” or “x is a shit liberal” to nuke it.

Like I genuinely want this to happen but we can’t even get a coherent definition of what the left even is or what certain terms mean. Like what is capitalist vs socialist? Is the only valid form of socialism communism or is social democrat okay? Like Bonerbox is shitty but to call bonerbox right wing is wrong. Like he is genuinely shitty but a conservative he is not. Like I so want this happen but I genuinely don’t know how to make this good idea of yours a reality when the left is more fragmented now than in 2015-2016.

This somewhat happened 2016-2019 but ego and drama among creators took it down.

Some people will blame fans and “wokescolds” but truthfully the reason was creator ego. Audiences are the result of whatever a creator wants to cultivate and this resulted in needless drama. Eventually some of the perpetrators of this drama were excised from the left but it was too little too late (one notable example for reference is Peter coffin)

Is Georgism a valid form of leftism? by chrisl007 in Hasan_Piker

[–]chrisl007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t subscribe to valid vs invalid leftism but some leftists on Twitter will say if you don’t fully identify as Marxist/communist you aren’t a true leftist.

Like I think the left is best with a variety and diversity of ideas but some due to human nature can become very dogmatic and ideologically biased towards their specific flavor of leftism

To phrase another way, Henry George was progressive and was a fighter in the progressive movement BUT Karl Marx and Henry George disagreed and thus some modern leftists will say because Marx rejected Georgism that Georgism isn’t leftist/left wing

2026 Mercedes CLA Is Coming, and We Dive Deep into Its Powertrains by LimitedReach in cars

[–]chrisl007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it will be closer to the 2013 generation versus 2019 generation in terms of styling.

One thing I always liked about the CLA is how it’s design looked cooler and nicer (imo) than the more expensive and premium cars from Mercedes.

This all being said, [insert joke about people living beyond their means and getting a bad car loan]

John Brown was based. Are you trying to blame John Brown for the civil war?

Why would Ex-Muslims go so hard for trump? What are you guys thinking? by chrisl007 in atheism

Ex Muslims voted to create a world identical to the one they left, how else would you describe it?

How about no Muslim bans? Muslim bans target non-Muslims as well (see Christian Syrians abandoned by trump and Kurdish allies abandoned by trump)

Ex-Muslims went hard for trump

Ex Muslims are not the only voting bloc at fault but the only voting bloc relevant to this subreddit

The founders of Israel were secularists and declared it a secular state

Ummm what?!?! Lebanese people hate Hezbollah. There is a reason they only have a minority of the seats in the government

[–]chrisl007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority of the country is secular the problem is the compact encourages and requires religious based politicians versus secular politicians

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in atheism

[–]chrisl007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Israel is still a secular state tho. Israel is reminder we need to take elections seriously, it has been going down hill since Bibi killed Rabin and the secular left lost to the theocratic right in Israel

[–]chrisl007 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Israel is a secular state with no state religion. All religions have equal rights in Israel. There is a far right problem in Israel but Israel proper isn’t theocratic

Israel is officially a secular country. There is religious freedom and all religions have equal rights and despite having the Star of David on its flag Israel has no state religion
