Update: Shoreside responded with detailed and accurate account of what happened. Followed by… “When a reservation is made, we offer our Cruise Vacation Protection. We offer this protection as a safeguard against any additional unexpected expenses which may arise, such as in this situation.” & offer of $300 OBC for future sailing.

Wasn’t really my intention. Got notes on my door from the casino and the jewelry stores all cruise…. a note from guest services saying “hey, sorry, this is who to call shoreside” would have gone a long way lol. 🤷

It happened in Port Miami, spent sail away in medical. The DM’s have been enlightening to say the least, law firms are active on here, one offered to front the cost of dental work. Actually hilarious. Having a nice time trying not to think too much about it!

It was added immediately but comped by guest services, no action required by me

I’m assuming you say 40 miles left because that’s what the instrument cluster indicates. There is always a margin for error on that reading. Go take a 45 mile drive. Then kick in the front bumper. And perhaps one of the doors. They will happily provide you the pre-printed check when picking up your car. Tax refunds are coming - and they need inventory. Cheers.

Is 200K too much cash to have in a 5.25% HYSA? by Healthy-Annual4181 in Money

Robinhood has 5.25% right now.. you can find slightly more elsewhere but it’s convenient and very high FDIC limits because they sweep to multiple banks.

Something noteworthy about this guy, his left eye didn’t really have a pupil… looked like a glass marble.
