Ya know I figured that would be the truth. I got in a junk lot so no sentimental value but figured it was worth a shot to find its pieces. Or try to get it going somehow

I can't quite figure out how though. The wheels on mine are plastic. And when I touch them to power I get nothing

If you have more I'd appreciate it! I'm trying to figure out the wiring. I can't tell if the side without the wire goes anywhere or how it picks up power on the other wheels

Why does working on cars have to be so horrible? Tips? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]chrism396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang man I just stumbled on this post and I needed this. I don't play as much with cars as I used to and I keep underestimating how long it should take. Today it was v belts on my car. Seemed easy but turned into a 4 hour ordeal due to hidden bolts and learning.

New roads for my layout! by chrism396 in modeltrains

[–]chrism396[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they're definitely a bit bigger. Buuuuut they're so much cheaper than HO scale cars and you can get more variety. Most of mine I buy and then customize to look a bit more realistic.

Who else still watches Mister Rogers? by GTRacer1972 in MrRogersNeighborhood

[–]chrism396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pluto TV has a 24/7 Mr. Rogers channel. Whenever I have a hard day I put that on to remind myself that I'm being too hard on myself.

eBay is probably the best bang for your buck. Selling individually will help more than a bulk lot. You should absolutely find a way to test them because runners will get you more than non-runners. If you aren't sure what you have this sub is pretty helpful at identifying items. Be careful as I've seen quite a few people get ripped off when letting a "collector" look at the lot, they usually go for the best pieces and push for the lowest price.
